From the land that brought you Ikea, meatballs and cold, Sweden:

"Bender is the best" <-> "Bender är bäst"
"Bender rules" <-> "Bender regerar"
"Bender owns" <-> "Bender äger" (Swedish expression)

Actually I don't know if we brought you the meatballs but they're famous anyway.

Edited to fix it to Bobbys parameters.

From my home country: "Bender is the best, eh?"

Way to re-inforce stereotypes, me!

The important question is, how do you say "Morgan can Proctor my office any day" in various other languages?

Morgan hi Proctor ha-office shelcha yom-echad

That's the closest I can get, in Hebrew.

People reading hebrew bug me.  I have to stop them every time, and say "NO! STUPID!"

Then I'll flip the book over for them.

"Morgan kan Proctor mit kontor nårsomhelst"

"Nårsomhelst" means "anytime", but that's the closest thing we got.

"G'day mate! That bugger Bending robot from that Futuriny show on telly is as bloody brilliant as shrimp on the barbie, mate! And that's bloody good bush tucker, mate!" is how you'd say it in Australian...

Actually, it'd really only be "Bender's the best" but I figure saying something like an Aussie to foreigners is only funny when you do the full stereotype.  :)

Hey, you're good.  :)
Somehow, sentences like "Honk if Bender's great" etc. sound pretty stupid and boring in German.  :(

I think that in German it would be "Morgan kann jederzeit mein Büro proctoren".  Any real German here can correct that if it's wrong.

By the way, Asylum-Fry, are you from Israel?  I was just wondering, because Hebrew's a pretty hard language to learn.

MrBurns, as far as I know, proctor is not an actual word, other than the company name "Proctor and Gamble".  But that's why it's funny, because it doesn't make any sense, in English or any other language.

Proctor is a real word, it means to supervise, like, "to proctor a test".

Also, this is a great thread but to nitpick, I would rather hear how to say "Bender is great" as opposed to "Bender is the best" in various languages since "Bender is great" is a phrase that actually comes up quite often in the show's dialogue.

Also, I've had Bender singing "Bender is great, ohh, Bender is great, Bender bender.." (ref: Love & Rocket) stuck in my head for about two weeks now.

I dunno, but it was in California.  It can't be the only custom bumper sticker kiosk in the world.

Holy crap, you're right!  I remember seeing that word when I was taking my ACT test (it was in the directions to taking the test, something along the lines of "if you have a problem, notify your proctor".).

By the way Molly, in German, the way you'd say Bender is great is Bender ist groß.  That ß in German represents a double-s (ss) after a long vowel.

In Danish it would be "Bender er stor", but since that's both a grammatical abomination and street slang, "Bender er mægtig god" eller "Bender er storartet" might be better. Although some of the punch the American sentence carry is lost.
