Just to be different, Im not going to vote West, but LaMarche instead.

I think Castelleneta, deserves some praise for the robot devil too tho

The song in Hell is Other Robots is catchy... He does a great, wonderful, awesome job in both episodes he's in (I like the Robot Devil voice better than Homer's, he should do it more often).

It's very difficult indeed, but I had to give another vote for Tress. I mean, besides Leela, Amy and Inez Wong, she voices EVERY FEMALE CHARACTER on the entire show.

Okay, before anybody tells me this, I'll just announce it: I am a freak.

I am truly in love with John Dimaggio. He's totally brilliant as one of my favorite characters in my favorite show, then I find out he's also a voice actor in my favorite game (FFX)!

John Dimaggio is the best at doing Bender's non-english non-scripted words. He's a natural. Plus, he's hilarious on the commentaries. Am I the only one who thought Billy West was irritating and not funny?

She also did Guenter! and the kid on the school house rock parody on the simpsons. (Also a boy)

I'm a little reluctant to vote for Billy West because all the other actors deserve a great deal of credit too. But Billy's talent is simply outstanding. The fact that his voices for four major characters - Fry, The Professor, Dr. Zoidberg and Zapp Brannigan - are each so distinctive and so funny is amazing. And like Dave and Maurice, he's an actor who you have to hear several voices of his before you can start going "That's a Billy West voice," by yourself. I recently managed to identify his Network President voice in BSNBAOTV. It's not his most different voice, but it's done really well - full of venom.

 A few other points though:

John DiMaggio's voices are easily identifiable, but I have to say I love his Professor voice that he does on the commentaries. In fact, on the commentary for A Pharoah To Remember, during the funeral scene, John does the funniest Professor groan I have ever heard! Check it.

Also, it's regularly said on the commentaries that Dave Herman is the most understated of all the Futurama actors, but what about Phil LaMarr? Everyone knows he does Hermes, but let's not forget he does some brilliant minor character voices including Ethan "Bubblegum" Tait, Billy (in I Dated A Robot) and Helper (in Godfellas) also.

I picked Billy West because he plays my favorite characters in futurama.(Fry, Zapp) I also love John Dimaggio's voice. Even though most of his characters are recognizable, they still are funny. Also I like Maurice LaMarche. I like how he does his characters on futurama. But, I also like how he does The Brain on "Pinky and the Brain." Last but not least, I thik Frank Welker is just amazing.

John DiMaggio it was a difficult choise, because I like Billy West so much, he's really great. But John DiMaggio got me in the DVD comments, I like him the best.

But I think Billy West does a lot more and has a great voice. I don't know anyone who can copy Zoidbergs' voice, it's really difficult to do.

I think that might be because of Billy's influences for the voice of Dr. Z, as revealed in the DVD commentary for My Three Suns, which are probably before most people's time. And a friend of mine who's good at doing voices once told me that the best way to imitate a voice is to get inside that person's head.

You know, come to think of it, how are Billy West and other voice actors able to change their voice like that, or do impersonations?  Are their vocal cords physically different from most people's?

Probably, although Billy practised a lot. I know I have a limited range, in that I can only do Krusty The Klown or the small Glermo an octave lower than they're actually done.

I can do quite a good Barney The Dinosaur impression, but that's it!

i am a freak too. I love john DiMaggio and his voices, he is one of the funniest guys on futurama. WOOH! i love it when he does Bender improv, "la la la look at my head etc." it cracks me up EVERY time.
BUT i have never played that game and I think Billy West deserves every ounce of credit he gets. He is very talented and his Zapp in Amazonian women was amazing it still makes me laugh.
Frank Welker is also amazing and all of the rest of the futurama crew do outstanding and impressive voices.
Wooh! Futurama!

They are all top quality, but Billy gets my vote for his range and his qualities as a voice actor.

His performance as the being  of pure energy in LLLIS demonstrates just how good he is.

I've gotta go with Katey Sagal, her voice of Leela is one of the sexiest voices in animation.

Then, it's Billy West, John DiMaggio, Tress, Phil Lauren, and the others.

Not really. The fact that he also does Fry, the Prof, Dr. Z, Nixon, Singing Wind, "God", the Network President and, my personal favourite, Judge Whitey, in addition to that voice you mentioned, demonstrates how good he is.  :)
