    Okay, what connects:

    • Space Pilot 3000
    • Episode II: The Series Has Landed
    • My Three Suns
    • Mars University
    • I Second That Emotion
    • A Head In The Polls
    • Xmas Story
    • A Clone Of My Own
    • The Deep South
    • The Honking
    • The Cryonic Woman
    • That's Lobstertainment!
    • A Leela Of Her Own
    • Roswell That Ends Well
    • Godfellas
    • The Why Of Fry
    • The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings
And I'll just preface the guessing by saying the connection is not a very obvious one. Nor an easy one.

No. I'll give an early clue: it's more of a behind the scenes connection.

[maudlin] i doubt it. almost every episode has a movie reference.
but what do you mean by "behind the scenes?" [/maudlin]

[irrelevant] ooh, i know! they all star bender, fry, and leela! did i win? did i win? [/irrelevant]

Alright, here's a fairly big clue: it's to do with the other Matt Groening big animated show.

I don't think so, David A. Otherwise 'A Big Piece of Garbage', 'Hell is Other Robots', 'Leela's Homeworld'...etc, would have been on the list too...

Nah, that's not it. Also, to answer Zeep's question, by 'behind the scenes' I mean that the connection has little to do with the content of the episodes. Action Jacktion's question on Page 8 of this thread is a good example.

By "behind the scenes", are you referring to voice artists?

That seems like a good guess if it's connected to The Simpsons, maybe they all have one time charachters voiced by Dan Castellenetta(is that it? I dunno!) or some other voice actor from it?
Very rough guess.. probly wrong

They all have usually Simpsons voice-actors working on them?

That's true but that counts for just about any episode that has Tress MacNeille in it. So nope.

Why do I get the feeling that you will have to keep giving us clues until it is at the point when you're doing an internet version of charades and telling us how many words it has!

It's not that I can't be bothered (not going to speak for anyone other than myself), it's simply that I am far too stupid for questions like this!

does it have to do with the fact that a lot of those episodes were written by j. stewart burns or ken keeler?
weren't they both also writers for the simpsons? [farnsworth] or did my brain just flop off for a minute? [/farnsworth]

does the rest also have to do with the simpsons?
or is it something about those episodes?
or more about the writers?

Yes the rest does have to do with The Simpsons. The connection just expands a little beyond the writers (note that some Keeler and Burns episodes are not listed for a good reason).

do they all also have voice actors from the simpsons?

Zeep's pretty much there. The correct answer is that the writer/s and director/s of these episodes all used to work on The Simpsons (though not necessarily as writers or directors I might add).

    • Space Pilot 3000 - Groening & Cohen/Moore & Vanzo
    • Episode II: The Series Has Landed - Keeler/Avanzino
    • My Three Suns - Burns/Lynch & O'Brien
    • Mars University - Burns/Haaland
    • I Second That Emotion - Verrone/Ervin
    • A Head In The Polls - Burns/Haaland
    • Xmas Story - Cohen/Avanzino
    • A Clone Of My Own - Verrone/Moore
    • The Deep South - Burns/Haaland
    • The Honking - Keeler/Dieter
    • The Cryonic Woman - Burns/Ervin
    • That's Lobstertainment! - Verrone/Haaland
    • A Leela Of Her Own - Verrone/Scott III
    • Roswell That Ends Well - Burns/Moore
    • Godfellas - Keeler/Dieter
    • The Why Of Fry - Cohen/Archer
    • The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings - Keeler/Haaland
    So it's Zeep's well earned go.  ;)

ok, here we go:
-A Flight to Remember
-A Clone of My Own
-Where the Buggalo Roam
-Godfellas
-The Why of Fry

This one will either be pathetically easy, or amazingly hard. We'll find out which soon enough.
