Swish.

I'm trying to think of a new one but I'm in school right now and it's sort of difficult to concentrate, I'll think of something later.

I can't think of anything!  So I forfeit my turn to evan or Zeep, whoever gets there first.

I Second That Emotion
and
The Sting?

It's all good...
My guess is:
Bender goes soft in both of them...
like he gets Leela's emotions(sad at times)
And he is sad for Fry's death

good guess, but no.
although at first it only seems like he's sad because fry make his waffles just the way he likes them.
since it's been almost another day, here's another clue:
you were on the right track thinking about bender.

Is the connection the line "I made myself feel bad"? Spoken by Bender in ISTE and the Professor in The Sting?

Also good. but no.
wow. this isn't that hard, i'm surprised no one's gotten it.
and remember the hints:
ego, and bender

Maybe we need more of a hint...but when someone gets this we're probably gonna be like G'uh!
N-e-crap...
Bender's ego is changed a little in both?
Zeep

1. what is "N-e-crap"?
2. I dont think i could give much more of a hint without it being brutally obvious. but in case you hadn't guessed, it is about bender's ego, not just bender and someone else's ego.

well, maybe i could give a little hint...
the similarity is not really part of the main plot of the episode, it's a detail. not a small, nitpicky detail, but more of a joke off to the side.

Two guesses.

How Bender feels is controlled by Leela, in ISTE by the empathy chip, and in The Sting because it is actually her dream.

Bender provokes violence in both as a result of his insults.  Nibbler bites him and a bee stings Fry and Leela.

no, and no

also, the bee ins't provoked by bender, he just happens to wake up as leela says "i can see danger a mile away."

n-e-____  is a different way to say any_____

so say you were saying anything it would be made into n-e-thing and the same goes for n-e-other word with any before it.

yeah. maybe i should post a new one.

actually, here's another big hint:
it has to do with text that is seen in the episodes. I suppose since no one can seem to get this, you can watch the episodes.
hopefully now someone will get it, because i can't think of another one.

I know that it has fallen for the 24-hour rule, but I'd still like to humour Zeep by making a guess at his original question:

In ISTE Bender made a cake for Nibbler that said "Happy Birthday Nibbler from Bender" IIRC and in The Sting there was a garland with the text "RIP Meatbag - from Bender" at the funeral. In both cases the word "Bender" was much larger than the rest of the message.

hooray! mercapto got it!
the cake and the flowers both had bender's name in a biger font. your turn.

also:
there is no "24 hour rule" like you talked about, the rules in the first post of this thread state: "If no answer is given in 3 days/72 hours the last person to ask a question can ask another

one more thing:

what if someone asks a question about an episode you haven't seen? how is that any more or less fair? guess on the ones you know, don't guess on the ones you dont.

They all have 4-word titles?
or maybe it's that they are all in Mcseason 5/ 4ACV?

Why not go one further and say that they are all consecutive episodes in production order? 4ACV09, 08 and 10?

I don't think that's it though, somehow.  wink

Two things...
1) You're both wrong (Sorry guys!)
2) They have nothing to do with the order in which they were shown or their titles.

In each of the three, one of the main characters plans on leaving Planet Express in some way.

In the Why of Fry, Fry plans to stop himself from having been frozen, so he would never have joined in the first place.

In Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles, Leela plans to stay as a child rather than be re-aged.

In Crimes of the Hot, Bender supported the plan to destroy all robots, including himself, choosing to go to the 'Party'.

It has to do with a piece of merchandise in the show.

And if it helps I have another episode to add to the list...
A Tale of Two Santas.

Hope it helps!

is it that in all of those 3 episodes they have a pet of some kind or an animal

In The Why of Fry Nibbler takes Fry to his planet to stop the Brains from destroying the world.

In Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles, the Professor is looking for his Gargoyle ZuZu (or whatever it's called).

And in Crimes Of The Hot Bender has the turtle which was on it's back in Holland

The part about a tale of two santas has put me off this theory but im sticking with it!

i will not give up on this one
does it have something to do with various methods of transport (stupid way of putting it)??
in crimes of the hot the robots are travelling on the glapagos queen (its something like that) to the islands, in the why of fry, fry is on a scooty puff jnr. then a scooty puff snr., in teenage mutant leelas hurdles fry and leela are in the fanboat, and in a tale of two santas bender has santas sleigh.
thatwas a crap attempt at a connection but this has been drivin me nuts and i must get it
