I picked up a copy of USA today, and it had the ratings for Monday through Sunday.  Since nobody else posted them here, I'll just take care of it.
Futurama
Viewers: 3.6
Household rating:  2.1
Share:  4
Rank:  80
Last week's rank:  73
For anyone wondering how the Fox Box did:
Viewers:  1.5
Household rating:  0.9

Man, did that do badly.  Take that, Fox, the channel we all love to hate!

Ya know, I think Fox and Futurama would get along much better if:

a) Fox advertised when Futurama episodes were on
b) Fox DIDN'T actually cancel Futurama for good
c) Fox weren't a bunch of cheapskate executives in suits with a lust for making big bucks.

What does what mean? I was talking about how the Turtles show was stupid... I mean, how can Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles still be shown on TV, yet Futurama is cancelled???

For the same reason that reality shows are entering another season, and shows like Futurama, Family Guy and Andy Richter get cancelled. Network execs care for nothing but money, and the average TV viewer is an idiot.

Oh. Good point, Slashco.

What in god's name is a reality show, anyway (I'm 14, don't have a clue what they are, and have no shame in this)? It sounds like an oxymoron. Reality isn't really a TV show.. well, most of the time it isn't.

Whatever Reality Shows are, they suck. Someone (not me, I'm too stupid to do this) should organize a protest against cancelling Futurama, outside the Fox HQ. Maybe they could invade Fox News and broadcast live their victory in penetrating the Fox HQ. Mwahahahaha!

Ok, Asylum's going a little crazy here.

@Asylum: A reality show is those who have no script, no real actors(most of the time) just like fear factor & big brother.

That's why they're so cheap to make, right?  They don't need to pay for good writers.

Hm.. I've kept clear of anything that's not Futurama or Jeopardy on TV as of late.. I watch some MST3K once in a while. That's the extent of my TV watching habits, and I haven't seen any of those three lately... (( why couldn't Futurama be on earlier on CN!? WHYYYYY!? ))

Just set your VCR to record it.  Despite what many people believe, it's not rocket science to set your VCR to program things.

Futurama decided to make fun of Fox as it curled up and died (nooo Futurama!)... in the episode (second to last, I believe) Bender Should Not Be Allowed On TV, they made fun of the Fox Execs and their need for money..

Network President: "Greetings, gentlemen. You already know my execubots. Executive Alpha, programmed to like things it has seen before."
Executive Alpha: "Hey, hey, hey!"
Network President: "Executive Beta, programmed to roll dice to determine the fall schedule."
Executive Beta: *rolls dice* "More reality shows!"
Network President: "And Executive Gamma, programmed to underestimate middle America."
Executive Gamma: "It's funny, but is it going to get them off their tractors?"

Bwahahaha that's probably what the Fox Execs really are like!

Reality TV shows are so stupid and pointless. If I wanted to see real life, why the hell would I buy a TV?!

Anyway - I really think that with late-night Futurama repeats doing so well on CN, Fox are really starting to realise what an awful decision they've made. If only they had realised that BEFORE it was too late...

FOX reality shows aren't reality. Telling someone you'll give them a hot fudge sundae, then kicking them in the nuts isn't reality. (No, that didn't really happen, it's a reference to a comedian whose name I can't remember.)

FOX will never admit to their stupidity. They'll be doomed, yes, but I'm afraid the "rich bastards" think that one descision can't hurt them...

We'll see who gets the last laugh, won't we?

Let's face it, some of them have scripts, and almost all of them have a writer of some sort.  Look at how much Survivor manipulates everything.

The cool thing is that Futurama, with a terrible lead in, doubled Fox's viewership.  And I bet all the folks stayed for the next show.  Fox doesn't know the value of what they have.

Lionel is right on the dot... Fox doesn't know the value of anything but money. Once Futurama is gone, Fox is gonna be one big brain-sucking TOILET CHANNEL!

I actually learned stuff from Futurama, which is hard to say about most other animated shows.

reality shows are just a fad and will die off almost completely within the next 3 years. Once the networks lose the "shock value" people will stop watching. a few of the biggies will stay around like American Idol and Survivor but I'm betting that most will just ride off into the pop culture sunset.

Pop culture sucks. There is little-to-no denying that. (Frankly, you can deny it all you want, but I'm going to make a serious statement now. If this is wrong, I want a MOD to tell me, not anyone else.)

Unfortunately, in my opinion, the fact that some people are so confused, stupid, or some other bad trait, they're willing to go with the flow of "what's in". I fail to see why I ought to waste my own good money on crap like M and M CDs(or whatever, never did learn that crapforbrains' name), low-cut shirts with cutesy 'Princess' written on it, or any of that other fashionable baloney. If the people with the power of influence in this world weren't scamming you and being stu-

WAIT! It's come to me! I LEARNED THE SECRET OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR!!! The stupider and more hard-headed you are about things, the more influence you have on others! YES I KNOW NOW WHY THE WORLD WILL NEVER WORK!

*Asylum discovered another quirk in human nature*

*Asylum does her happy dance before regaining formality*

Oh yeah, to those who were offended by this, I'll say sorry for what I said, but personally I don't think you've got a point in arguing that fashion and one week of popularity IS what life's all about. Cause it's not.
