Are there any voice actors from the Simpons in Futurama? I sometimes think I hear a familiar voice, but I'm too lazy to do some research for it...  ;)
Sometimes, like with one of the helpers of Mom in Fishful of doctors, I think I recognize the voice of Brain, from Pinky and th Brain   :D  Does anyone happen to know something about this?

Yeah offcourse...thats for sure. I liked how they finally referred to that fact in A Bicylops Build for two, where leela has to call Alkazar Al, and wear her hair up...

But because she's quiet known, I wonder if she will stay with futurama for long if the series continues, she may get better offers or something.

The only Simspons regular who's also a Futurama regular is Tress Macneile, who plays Mom and Linda.

Dan Castalaneta (Homer, Willy, Barney, Grampa and a ton of others) and Hank Azaria (Chief Wiggum, Apu, Moe etc.) have done one-shot characters. Dan was Beelzebot, and Hank was Harold Zoid.

Billy West has done a ton of voice work, playing everyone from Bugs Bunny to Ren & Stimpy.

Phil Lamarr is a former regular on Mad TV (he played the hyper UPS guy, among other characters), and does lotsa voice work, including the lead character in "Static Shock".

Lauren Tom is in "King of the Hill", and also does a lot of Kids WB cartoons. She can be seen onscreen in "Friends" and "DAG".

I think everyone else has been covered.

That's Maurice LaMarche, the sexy man who voices/voiced Brain, Kif, Jay's australian friend in The Critic, and Egon on the old Ghostbusters cartoon. He's also done various voices in just about evey other cartoon ever made. And he's done a few other really weird things...he was the announcer on the old short-lived Howie Mandel show, and he played a live-action Inspector Gadget on the Super Mario Super Show(I'm NOT making this up).

I wouldn't worry about that...she's probably as well-known now as when she started Futurama. And voice-work isn't too time-consuming, so she could work on other things and still do Leela. It's an easy, steady paycheck.

It's funny, I really didn't like that woman...with her role in Married with Children and all, but thanks to futurama I really started liking her. Every character really comes to life in this show...good casting

I agree a lot. I felt the same way about Billy West...I used to hate him and his lame interpretations of classic WB characters. But on Futurama, his voices are all distinct from each other, and different from any of his other cartoon voices I've heard(hell, I didn't even believe he was Zoidberg at first...I could have sworn it was Maurice LaMarche).

Plus his delivery is amazing. Lines like "Tell them I hate them!" just wouldn't be as funny if they were given to someone else.

Billy West--class act.

Maurice is a great guy... very nice to his fans.

I think Katey Sagal does a great job on futurama (leela).  And she already does a ton of stuff while she does futurama, so she isnt going anywhere.  :)

You can't tell me that Maurice wasn't the voice of the one water guy, and I'm pretty sure he was the doctor in "Insane in the Mainframe."  Goodness I miss Pinky and the Brain.

I'd love to talk on this topic, but here in germany with all the dubbed stuff ...
Well, we have the Lisa guy speaking the renegade mothersday card and Lrrr and we have the Krusty voice doing Bender and .... they don't even try to change their voice. It's just plain Krusty which talks there. I always anxiously wait for Krusties "haha-hahaha" to emerge Bender's Speech Modulator ... That was till i stopped watching the show in it's dubbed version. BUT: our Peggy voice (who doesnt speak Leela) is much more suitable than Sagal's herself....
Anyone who hasn't seen the short Billy West Interview should seek for it. Really a great voicster  :)

I'm also glad to see that they never used "Peg's" most annoying laugh, that sarcastic noise she always made  I hated that.

Fox, which is apparantly the American channel which runs/owns Futurama has a nice section on their website, with a short, and surprisingly small video of the three main voice actors. Which, co-incidentally cannot be reached from their main site. Nice one. (If two URLs appear, it's the second one)

I don't know where else to post this, but I was watching 61*, the HBO movie, and there's a newsreel about the homerun chase, and it was clearly Frank Welker narrating it. Cracked me up.

Well, not sure if Frank Welker is considered a 'regular' on Simpsons or not, but he plays the 'voice' of Santas Little Helper as well as Nibbler. Both the animal voice and the speaking voice.

That kinda leads me to another thought.  If a character isn't a regular on a series, does that make them an irregular?  :D
