Well if anyone is intrested in what FOX's stance for getting some Emmy voters to take notice of Futurama they have put up a special website.
 http://www.foryourconsideration.tv/quote-Futurama.htm

Kinda lame with only a few quotes saying how great the show is.

Plus Marc asked why FOX was showing Fryish, Parasites, and the other more high profile Futurama episodes is because the Emmy voters are on the prowl of selecting nominees at this time.  SO lets all keep our fingers crossed for Futurama.  SO it can finally get an Emmy that it deserves.

Futurama's never going to win, because the only stuff that wins is the popular stuff.

Shows that have been around for along time win like 8 years of X-files

No way, man. I don't think the X-files have been nominated for anything past season 5. Kryten is right, it's the popular stuff that wins. Futurama definitely won't win(even though it should)...they'll probably give it to The Simpsons even though it's been terrible this season. I really hope Futurama at least gets  nominated.

Well let us all remember king of the Hill won last year, so anything is possible.  Also some recent nominees have been Family Guy, PJs, and Powerpuff girls plus 2 years ago Futurama was nominated but only for Hell is other Robots and A big Piece of garbage.  2 1st season episodes which I didn't think were the best of the best.

i'm crossing more than that.

I think an emmy could really help futurama get more viewers.

Its not really probable, but if futurama did get an emmy, Australia better air season 3. And we'd have so many more viewers... It would encourage fox to keep it going.

maybe they should show actual scenes of the shows instead of critics' quotes ...
i dont think that the emmy people are any impressed by those. its kind of like telling them "look, all those critics think we are great, you'd better not make fun of yourself and disagree".
besides, there will always be 5 critics saying something good in a review ...

I agree. But instead of showing the best clips from Futurama, maybe they should show the worst clips from other animated shows. They could show N'Sync on The Simpsons, a few annoying clips of the dad from Family Guy, and any South Park episode. Their Emmy campaign slogan can be "Shouldn't We Win By Default?" Seriously.

Futurama is definetly the best show around at the moment, the Simpsons used to be the best about 5 years ago and South park was cool for the first 2 seasons and the movie was great but it seems to have lost it since then.
I never really liked Family Guy and King of the Hill is just boring.
Futurama should win but it won't cos as a wise man once said "people don't want to see anything original, they wanna see the same crap they've seen a 1000 times before"

yeah... ha ha ha.. futurama SO deserves to win. The simpsons has been fairly bad lately, although it seems to be pulling itself out of the swamp. I really hated family guy, and the power obsessed baby was the only remotely funny one. South park has been getting more and more sick, and the funny parts have become rarer and rarer. It sort of went downhill after the episode where cartman thought he had his rags. That was so very wrong. King of the hill is so very boring and futurama is so much better that all of this. Stupid foxtel.

It's spelled coincidence and I think it's just a coincidence, though Matt may do a little promotion to help save Futurama or a promotion about the Futurama movies at the Emmys.
