To summarise what we know:

Both Groening and Cohen have expressed interest in doing at least one movie, and possibly a trilogy of movies. However, the critical issue is funding, and as FOX would have to be a partner, it gets more difficult (they aren't enthusiastic).

As for more episodes, CN has expressed an interest, but at the moment, the cost is prohibitably expensive, and CN would have to look for a network partner.

That's pretty much all we know, so far.

I don't think they will in the US, but they have been released in Europe, and they will work in US VCRs, globviously.

Just the PAL/NTSC thing to work around.

Welcome to PEEL, Old Skool Prop and Seashell Storm. Enjoy it here (again).

Nope. NTSC and PAL videotapes are completely incompatible from the standard used to record the video down to the tape speed.  There are dual mode VCRs out there, but with region free DVD players being much less expensive, why not go that route instead?

Forgot to mention in my previous post, but according to a friend of mine who used to work as an animator on Futurama, no one in the animation community has heard even a rumor of production starting up again.  Would that it were otherwise.

No offense Seashell, but you got me all excited for a second, and then dissopiont me, You Bastard! (remember, still no offense). I thought that maybe this was someone with new exclusive news. You should have used question marks for your topic title not "!!!!!!!!!!!"
Please do a little research before you toy with peoples emotions like that.

Why would Fox have to be a partner? They don't own the show, Groening and Cohen do, don't they? I'm sure that with the right sales pitch, companies would definatly be willing to open their wallets for a Futurama movie
