It's really sad that half of The Ramones have passed away, so I don't think any more of these great little songs are going to be done. I love the one they did on The Simpsons. My friend who is a Ramones fantatic puts it as the opening track to like every Ramones mix he makes.

Because he guest starred in The Simpsons too. I guess they didn't want to seem as if they were overusing guests in Matt Groening's shows.

If you look - there are no guest stars on Futurama that were also on The Simpsons, with the exceptions of professional voice actors such as Tress MacNeille (if you class her as a guest star) and Dan Castellaneta.

I dislike guest stars because they are usually a flavor of the month, thrown in as a crutch.  It's pretty rare that a guest is an integral part of the story.  The few time Futurama used guests, they used them well.  I'm glad it was only a few times though.

I think there should be some Indy car series drivers in the show...like Sam Hornish, or Thomas Sheckter. That would be neat! Not Dannica Patrick though. She gets too much media coverage.

On a post made very long ago, Dave Grohl would be funny, though people may think it's a rip off of Beck.

Jim Carrey, Jon Lovitz, or Dana Carvey would be good doing any character. How about Church Ladybot in an episode, perhaps replacing or dating Preacherbot?

   If you could pick any celebrity (past or present - big, small or even obscure) to build a Futurama episode or DVD movie around, who would it be, and what would be the basic plot of your story?

   Personally, I'd like to see an ep built around Jimmy Buffett. The plot would involve the PE crew going to JB's Margaritaville planet to search for Bender, who ends up there while trying to fulfill his fantasy of being a space pirate. Later, the Professor and Mom would end up on that planet because the Professor is trying to escape Mom, who's stalking him (subplot).  Jimmy would be there as a whole person, since he, like Fry, had, at one time, been cryogenically frozen.  At the end, everybody "hooks up" (but not necessarily permanently). Fry and Leela, The Professor and Mom, Bender and a pirate fembot, Jimmy and an island girl, they all "hook up".
