I'm sure this has been asked before so sorry but, after re-watching Hell is other Robots with commentary, which episode tells you how nibbler escapes from Robot Hell? The commentary seems to suggest it's in season 3, and I've seen all of that except the last disc of episodes.

On a totally different topic, will there ever be a Futurama episode guide like the simpsons ones?

In season 3, you find out that Nibbler is a sentient being (or you could just say smart) and that since is capable of thinking, he found his way out of Robot Hell.

Didn't exactly sound like a joke, if anyone wants to check it out, it's at the very end before the credits

The Hypno Toad orders a Futurama guide book now, sold for -£20 in the UK. No, -€20.

It shall be even better than the Simpsons one, with details of abandoned scripts and a indept analaysis of each season by Matt Groening, David Cohen and the Hypno Toad

The issue isn't how Nibbler escape Robot Hell on his own, it's how Nibbler manage to find his way back to the hotel they stayed in. Bender didn't land to pick him up.

And the answer the audio commentaries alluded to is, as Jolly Mon already said, that Nibbler is intelligent (as we see in "The Day Earth Stood Stupid" )
