If children don't get up till 12 they don't deserve to see it, that is just too lazy  :nono:

I sleep about an hour longer, which means I wake up at 7:00.  And I have no idea what channel shows it at 11 am.

He's talking about the reruns on TBS, which are on at 11 am Pacific time.

Yeah, and here on the east coast it's 2 pm. I don't really see the point, as most adults are at  work and most kids are at school during that time (both 11 and 2). Well, it's decent for the summer (although won't most kids be playing outside?), but still not a very good timeslot.

I agree. I'm 15 and at 2 PM I'm either working or out somewhere. :\ They should've scheduled the Futurama/Family Guy block at around 6 or 7PM, in my opinion.

I was sort of surprised that they scheduled "adult" cartoons like Futurama and Family Guy so early in the day.  Even reruns of The Simpsons are usually shown in the evening.  But the important thing is that it's being shown.

not like TBS has anything better to play. they're pretty much the rerun station.

Sheesh, I didn't even know 2 had a PM. My workshift is from 5 to 10, so I usually don't get up before 3 PM  ;)

Oh, on the west coast...

Well, maybe it's the only slot they had open.  At least they're showing it.  Yeah, at 2 pm I'm usually out somewhere.  But someone may catch it.

Wait wait wait, let me get this straight.

You're upset because they're showing "Futurama" too often?!? What kind of bizarro world is this??

I'll admit the timings could be better, but you could just as easily record the shows on the VCR. If you're lucky enough to own a DVR, than you probably don't watch much live TV anyway.

Best solution...buy the DVDs!

No, he's not aying it's shown too often, he's saying it's shown at a bad time.

But, yeah, I don't think it can be shown too often anyway.  The other day I was wondering what if every channel had it on all the time- there still wouldn't be enough!

7am?! I could shower and get dressed to my fave show!  That is, if I had a TV in the shower.  Hey.  That's a good idea.
On the East Coast, it translates into 2pm and that's when I progammed my VCR to record. It's simple, really.

Most TV is ran with the eastern time zone in mind. When Turner scheduled the show it was for 2PM east.

Let's face it, Futurama's always been given dodgy time slots. But that's what DVD's are for, to watch whenever you want  :)

once they use to show repeats on Friday 1am in the morning in britain channel 4 aswell as 7am

They used to show new episodes at 6:30pm after the simpsons on BBC 2

Britain shows Futurama at the weirdest times of the day no wonder everyone hates channel 4.

In the most of the midwest it's on at 1pm which is extremely annoying because I started school today. Only one rerun a day. My VCR is busted.

They are programing for college kids, and counter programing the women shows (soaps, talk shows), that are normal mid afternoon in the US.  Not a bad move, really.  CN probably has a contractual right ot the evening, So TBS puts it in the afternoon and catches whoever is in a dormrooom.  6p East, 3p west would be better, but my VCR works, and you can get them for $35 now days, so tape it.

I think you all should consider yourselves very, very, very lucky that you can watch the episodes on tv!

I live in The Netherlands and here it's just on sometimes, they don't care at what time, so they put it on a sunday at about 5pm.  They don't show it from season 1, but start at season 3. They are horrible, I'm glad I have Kazaa and Grokster, I downloaded all the episodes and am buying the DVD boxes (already have season 2).

So, I just want to say, be very happy that it's on. Here it was gone for four years, by the way!

It's actually on weekly here, Ooy - but they keep stopping and starting it so often that it might as well be fortnightly.

In the UK, Futurama isn't on terrestrial TV at all.  That is until I get my system going

<DVD lights flash and mini satellite dishes twirl>

Yes, broadcast Futurama my pretties.  Broadcast it until everyone loves it.  Yes, EVERYONE!

<manical laughter>.

Now...where did I put that Doomsday Device?
