Is the "that dog won't hunt, monsignor/ monsigneur" line a reference to something specific? Another joke i didnt get was those people hiding to the side of the beach in Why Must I Be A Crustacean In Love.
What were they there for?

But these people are Zoidbergs species. It doesnt make any sense to me. All the men are supposed to be doing their ritual and the women are supposed to be selecting a mate.

I see. Just sick animals with telescopes and trenchcoats.
One more thing. Even though its not really a joke. In Anthology Of Interest 2, a computer game creature comes down the stairs of the spaceship and says "All your base are belong to us." IS that from a computer game cos i heard it in a techno song a while ago too.

I sometimes think that the reason Fry laughed it because it sort of sounds like "boner-tis", and of course Fry's going to laugh at something like that due to his immaturity.
However, I doubt that the writers would make a joke like that, so I think the whole joke is just the fact that the name is so unorginal.

In Time Keeps Slippin', Bubblegum Tate says to Fry "86 that ....." right after Fry tries to soften Leela up to go out with him with champagne. What does 86ing mean?

It means to dump, reject or dismiss something. So when Tate tell Fry to "86 the chump stuff, F-man. It's time to win Leela's heart with a big, showy, three-point, romantic gesture" he's saying he should drop the akward attempts of getting a date he's doing now, and do something big and romantic. Edit: Heh, took too long searching for the quote.

Ok this is my first post so right off the bat I'd like to say hello to everyone. Now in the sting there are two jokes/refrences I don't get . Hermes: Honeycomb big. Yeah Yeah Yeah Bender or Fry: It's not small? Hermes: No No No
Leela: It'll take more than some deadly deadly bees
I know these are refrences to something though to what I have no idea.

I can help you with this one. The joke's based on an old ad campaign for Post's Honeycomb cereal in the 80's. Read this to get more information than you need. You'll find the key words near the bottom of the article. Yes, you can find anything on the internet.

Originally posted by Mouse On Venus: Oh, I have a question actually. What's that joke with the giant can of Tab supposed to be about in Amazon Women In The Mood? I'm not sure why, but Tab is seen as a drink for women. It might be because it was one of the first diet drinks.
