With only 5 episodes left, I'm not going to say I'm not looking forward to any of them.  Sure, the plot does seem a little cheesy, but look at what the last two comics did with "Fry in a space freak show" and "Bender takes over robot hell."  I have faith.

Could people please stop judging episodes before they see them, or atleast judging them negatively! You can look forward to them, but you can't simply write them off without even watching them!
In my opinion this sounds like it has a classic season 2 episodes style. Don't forget there may be a subplot.

Im looking forward to all of the episodes. I just pray that they handle the last episode like "A last episode" and not just another episode that offers no closure.

Why would they treat it as a last episode? That would have been kinda stupid if they had gotten renewed.

I'm still getting "Profit And Lace" flashbacks from reading the synopsis of this episode.

Every DS9 fan will know that's the bad kind of flashback.

But what if not? I mean, we may never have closure. I hope it gets treated as a last episode.  :(

Of the few new ones we have left I think most of them sound crappy.

S05E12: Spanish Fry - Sounds crappy
S05E13: Bend Her - Sounds even worse
S05E14: Obsoletely Fabulous - Sounds crappy
S05E15: Bender Should Not Be Allowed On TV - Sounds crappy... That's Lobstertainment style I reckon
S05E16: The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings - I'm not a shipper but it will still be good I'm sure.

So 1 out of 5 sounds good? Not to promising.

Then again, The Sting had a bad description (the gang battle space bees) and that turned out to be a damn awesome episode.

yeah, the remaining eps sound pretty bad, but since it is the end, i think i'm just gonna cover my ears and go blah blah blah; who knows, they could be great.

but "bend her" sounds so uninspired. i mean, bender gets a sex change; that's creative, that's original. *rolls eyes* i can just predict the jokes already, it's so- BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!

i gotta stop now....well, here's hoping....

I thought The Sting sounded OK but turned out to be a pretty dull episode. It was too predictable and I had guessed the entire storyline very early on in the episode.

I can't wait to see Bend-her though. Although it doesn't sound great even the worst Futurama episodes are at least watchable.

The problem is, being in Australia, which is where I have been told I am currently living, I'll have to wait god knows how many years till I actually get to see it.

Or I could just download it.

look, how many bender oriented ones are EVER good? godfellas was not all that good, bender gets made was crap, and he is right, 3/5 are bender ones with a crappy description, it seems crappy to me.

then again, who knows, we all thought farnsworth parabox was going to be crap, but it seems to advance the fry/leela relationship the most of all the new ones thus far.

just wait young grashoppa, or look to google for downloading salvation.

Yeah I thought 'Three Hundred Big Boys' would be crap, and it turned out pretty good.

And Killbot Bot Jnr, your not a shipper are you. Calling 'The Sting' dull! I didn't find it that good either, but the shippers love it.

Just a tad off topic, does anyone know whether or not "Bend Her" is a two parter?
i.e
Part one - "Bend Her"
Part two - "Obsoletely Fabulous"
TVtome.com (where i heard this from) is unsure but believes its a definite possibility. CGEF doesnt say anything inparticular about it being a two parter, but they seem to be linked.
Anybody know for sure?

These are the two main sites ive checked (Each contain minor spoilers)

I think you mean "waste" - as "waist" refers to the body part under your stomach... Even so, no - it's not a waste. You don't know whether or not they're going to be good. Even if you hate Bender - it's not like these 3 episodes are in a row deliberately, it's FOX's crappy scheduling. But, anyway - Bender rules, and you have no right to badmouth an episode you haven't even seen, just because you don't like the main characters in them.

Also, directed at Rage Dump - no, it's not a two parter, they're two completely different episodes.

Yeah if you look at the production codes the three Bender ones weren't lined up, but now FOX has put them together.

And Bender is a great character, and although the other Bender episodes haven't been that good, i really liked 'Bendin In THe Wind' so they could still be the best episodes we've seen.

Ehh, just because we're fans, doesn't mean we have to love each and every instant of the show.

I'm about as big a fan of DS9 as they come, yet when I read the synopsis for "Profit & Lace" I almost vomited in disgust, and in the end the result was even worse than I imagined.

Judging on the synopsis I thought "The Sting" sounded great, and as it turned out I wasn't disappointed. Battling space bees, it doesn't get any more sci-fi than that.  :D

Hence why we call it The Episode Who's Name We Do Not Speak.

Oh, wait I said it several times already. ::kills self::

It's actually incredible one of the worst pieces of crap ever produced under the name Star Trek aired only 5 weeks after the best damn episode of any Star Trek incarnations ever. I speak ofcourse of "In The Pale Moonlight".

Of the next four (the finale sounds more interesting then them for the simple reason of it being a finale), Spanish Fry sounds the most intriguing, and hilarious.  Bender episodes tend to be among the weaker ones, but like M Jackson said Futurama doesn't really do "crappy" (except for Three Hundred Big Boys), so I expect that the three Bender episodes will still be good in their own right, and should even be a nice break from all the "shippy" stuff lately before the obviously shippy last episode.  Regarding this episode specifically, it sounds a little strange and disjointed, but its so crazy it might just work.  If nothing else, we get to see Calculon.

Calculon? I completely missed that (yeah, my eyes are old and my brain forgetful). Calculon have never worked for me in large doses. His quick scenes in "The Honking" and other eps were good, but his part of "That's Lobstertainment" really pulled that episode down.

Ironically that episode also had Calculon's best line ever: "Do you have a second goto 10 line?"   :laff:
