Well, well done for being rational whilst being brought up in a racist culture. It's rare that people don't become like most of the rest of their country's people. Not just another drone as part of the hive mind then are ya?
Then again a lot of English people can be horribly racist too... (As opposed to nicely racist. Ha ha.)
I think that maybe it's more prominent in Australia than here though, judging by what you said. So what's Adelaide like? Not like the Futurama character I hope!

I know of no character by that name. The closest I can think of is Adlai.

I have no idea. I guess it's because it's small and insignificant compared to cities like Sydney. Maybe ask some of the other Aussies.
