Welcome to peel, cages321.  It makes me feel angry that such a great show was cancelled, and that there will be no more of this great show...although there may be a movie...

To quote a phrase I remember reading at some point, it hurts when you realize that a show was cancelled because it was intelligent.

Yeah, I have officially taken FOX off of my channels list (well after the last episodes come on) because they ruin all the good shows.  and Welcome to PEEL cages321, enjoy it here.

It makes me very angry, do to the fact that FOX shit canned Futurama from the start.
I may have to look up some of the people that voted for Class III weapons in the "Guns or no Guns" thread and visit the FOX executive offices.

Wrong tense.  Not "will be canceled", but rather "was canceled".

I'm angry and upset, but what can you do?  I fought the good fight and I lost. Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.

Of course, in my lighter moments I think "damn them all to the blackest pits of Hell for all eternity."  But then, sanity returns and life goes on.

In one way it makes me angry that the show was killed off more due to internal politics than anything else.

But at the same time it's a relief to know that the show's finishing before it jumps the shark.

I have excepted it now, but it still pisses me off when I think about it. It'll probably start to get to me again once the final ep has aired, and then again when I get the season 4 DVD.
I'd love to make a difference but what can I do?

For me, it was sort of a "Sigh.  What's the world coming to?" kind of reaction.

For one shining, happy moment, there was still a glimmer of hope for entertaining television.  But now it's all gone to the dogs because FOX are evil, hateful, meanie-poop-heads who like to make little children cry--they crushed my glimmer of hope, spat on it, and ran over it with a lawn mower.  **shuffles into the corner and bawls as the violin music starts up**

(On the other hand, at least everyone will remember Futurama fondly.)

In the days where it was just in danger, I loaded my guns with the rest of the fans. Now that it's cancelled, I find myself bitter, but I've unloaded the guns. I simply don't care. I love the show and I'll do all I can to keep that show alive in the hearts of others.

I thought it was the dumbest idea ever. I just cant believe they are cancelling Futurama and yet "the Simpsons" which at this particular juncture is so sickeningly unfunnny that it acctually kills braincells to watch thier non stop repetitive antics week after week. And what is it being replaced by?? What show has Fox cooked up that could possibly be better?? Oliver Bean? Fox has no idea how to hold on to a good show. Just look at "Brimstone" and "The Andy Richter show"(which has been on and off).

You know, I know alot of guys who are pretty pissed that Family guy isnt on fox anymore but this is just a travesty.  :finger:

Oh, and on another note, im sorry for being so unpleasent my first post here, but it really does upset me.

Aye. I'm completely sick of the Simpsoids too. Why couldn't they kill them off instead?

Time to reset kill limit.

Well, they will only lose money. I just wish it was somehow possible for them to run new episodes on cartoon network. They could do it on sundays with the other Adult swim line up. But, I guess this is how it is supposed to be. Lost forever...with so much left to go..

I think it's cool and a testament to their talent that they managed to survive for as long as they did in the face of so much hostility. At least we have some eighty episodes (81?) to watch. If a British show (I'm British) had been cancelled after four series we would only have had twenty-four episodes (though they each would have been about five to ten minutes longer). Still, isn't anyone excited about what Groening and , presumably, a lot of the Futurama team might do next? There's a good chance taht we'll all be posting on a new fan site in a couple of years, and if that happens I'd rather have epsiodes of a good new series than more of Futurama, because no matter how good a show is, it always gets stale, and I think Futurama was close to reaching that point. But I think I'll start a thread on possibilities for a new Groening show and how people feel about it. Yes! I'll do it now!

I'm sure that there are only 72 episodes of Futurama in total!
Count them, there's 4 Seasons
13 + 19 + 22 + 18= 72.

This is the stupidest question I ever saw. We're all Futurama fans. How the fuck do you THINK we feel?

Show's over.
