I think that the same answer can be given to most of these comparisions of the supporting casts. I'd like to make it clear that although I am a huge fan of The Simpsons, I do prefer Futurama overall. However, since The Simpsons has had so much more time to develop its supporting cast into truely great 3 dimensional classic characters, it will win almost every comparision. Futurama's supporting cast are all very well concieved and have truely brilliant quirks and personality traits. But they never had much screen time, and have not been properly developed. Although I voted for the Futurama robot mafia over The Simpsons, this is because Fat Tony and co have started to annoy me. And obviously Farnsworth beats Proffesor Frink.
But in almost every other case, The Simpsons will and should win, not because Futurama's characters are bad, but we just don't know them as well.
Although this kind of contradicts the rest of my post, i've thought of one other comparision where Futurama should easily win.
Snake Vs Roberto?
(Roberto, wins for me. "What's the matter Red? YA SCARED!?" )

Snake easily.
Its hard to compare F & S minor characters when S has had over 300 episodes and futurama only 60-70 tops. The most developed characters are always going to be the best, the funniest etc. It's only natural in series' that (seemingly) try to make every character add new laughs to the show.

Zapp Brannigan. He's just got sooooooooooooooooo many brilliant, brilliant lines! "Welcome to my humble chamber, or as I call it, The Lovenasium. Shampagin?"
"Now like all great plans my statagey is so simple an idiot could have devised it"
"The key to victory is dicipline. And that means a well made bed. You will practice until you can make your bed in your sleep.
You mean while i'm sleeping in it?
You won't have time for sleeping soldier. Not with all the bed-making you'll be doing"

Don't Double post. Also 'Burns or Mom' has it's own thread wich can be found here: http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/11-000354-1/ Marge or Amy? They are both background characters and Amy had sex with Fry, one of the main characters in Futurama. And Marge is having sexual relations with Homer the main man in The Simpsons. Edit: Nixons Head for President!

Surely you should compare Mayor Quimby to Mayor Poopenmier, not Nixon.
