Drawing Parallels

I have noticed some parallels in futurama and in other shows as far as the fry/leela type of relationship goes.

you know how their love is like a siderunning plot/theme and they will not admit to their relationship. well, i think we should make a list of shows that use this same type of relationship.

SHOWS I KNOW:
Farscape: chriton/aaron
Inuyasha: Kagome/inuyasha

what shows can you list that have this same kind of love theme?

No, A long running Love story where the players wont admit to does wonders to keep the sohw going.

Yes, it is original, but there are other shows simular.  I can't think of many right now, hmm.
Well, that show Jimmy Neutron or something has Jimmy and Cindy repitivetivly showing signs of liking the other one but they won't admit it.  I could only think of that show because it was just on.

The whole Mulder-Scully thing was certainly a long running hook during The X Files duration.

As far as InuYasha is concerned, that approach runs through pretty much all of Rumiko Takahashi's work: Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikukou, and Urusei Yatsura.

Maggie O'Connel and Joel Flieshman in Northern Exposure. Although it got clumsily but not fully realized towards the end.  To a lesser degree Daphne and Niles in Frasier, but that was just nauseating from the get go.

seriously i thought of freaking inuyasha and was waching stargate sg1 while writting this tread and forgot it! [smacks head again] i mean they were married in two out of three dimensions as far as we know!!! and they most likely wouold have more of an open realtionship if it wasn't for the regulations....

yeah, somewhat is always how these types of relationships end. it is always ambiguous, and i hate that. i hope futurama is not as ambiguous. guess we will find out in the coming months.
