Pronounced Captain, but it doesn't have to be officialy by the Prof or Hermes, as Zapp is one of the correct answers but he got there by mutiny. I've got 6 on my finla list (7 in a way).

You're nearly there evan, Captain Musky is right, Hermes doesn't count, he flew the ship but he wasn't captain, if he counted so would the Proffesor (in Teenage Mutant Leelas Hurdles).

There's just one more left. No one has even come close to mentioning it, i guess it's kinda obscure so i'll give you a clue.

I must be missing something here as I do not recall Amy ever being captain in any way other than flying the ship in The Series Has Landed and since she was only flying the ship she shouldn't count as we are not counting the Professor or Hermes.
Also, what about the replacement team from When Aliens Attack? The Professor hired a replacement crew figuring Fry, Leela and Bender would not be coming back from their battle with the Omicronians. I assume he would have named one of them captain but maybe that does not count since that person was never actually named within the episode.
One other note - wouldn't Universe 1 Leela count as well? And by extension the parallel Leela from I Dated A Robot would count as well?

The people in When Aliens Attack never got the job, the Proffesor said "check back in three days, a weeks at the most".
The Parallel Leela doesn't count, because then you'd have to count all the other parallel versions of everybody else. I put Amy on my list Because the Proffesor hired her in The Route of all Evil when Dwight and Cubert started Awesome Express. And Canned Eggs gets the next go becasue he got the last 'person' on the list, the autopilot.

OK fine with me. Sounds logical, although after further thought on this it would seem that Hermes, Zoidberg or Amy (even though she is already included) as in the Cryonic Woman Fry, Leela and Bender are all fired and the rest of the crew goes on a mission without them so one of them would have had to be named Captain. It was never spoken which one it was so it would be difficult to include one of them. Of course I am probably just being a little too nitpicky on it.
So let's have the next question already.
