how much longer do you expect PEEL to last for? THe show has been canceled for some time and it seems pretty unlikely for much else to happen for Futurama. So how long do you reckon PEEL will last with nothing else to talk about?

Yes, Its really a love of futurama that brought us together. But the offtopic has the majority of active threads in it. Thats where we spend all our time. We'll last as long as Message boards are out there.

Star Trek: TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager are all dead for years, yet the websites and the messageboards are doing just fine.

No new MASH episodes have been made for decades, yet there's still active messageboards out there (according to Fred, anyway).

Bottom line, PEEL will live on as long as people care to discuss stuff here (and mArc doesn't decide to channel the rest of his funds into keeping Edel happy).

And whats really interesting is that Mash was cancelled even before there were message boards.

If everyone will keep visiting PEEL, it won't die.  We could keep our imaginations up with fan fiction.   Besides, Futurama won't die out of what it has left without any fights.  There's still comics and talk of a slim chance of a movie. Also, Matt and David always say they enjoy doing the show- they won't let every last Futurama thing die.

That's a nice philosophy you got there. A show dies and the fans go with it. How wrong it is! It certainly seems to be what Fox was thinking but I aim to prove them wrong. How about the rest of you?

I think the professor and Zoidberg would make a good show all on their own. Perhaps they could have Scruffy as the cameraman or something?

That'd be a change of pace all right.  Could be good, could be good.  But it'll never happen.
