Attention Toon Zone members: Leela in the Delaney Poll.

For those PEEL'ers wo happen to be members of the Toon Zone Forums: Leela is in this weeks Delaney poll and she's currently placed second, only three votes after the leading entry. Go vote for her, now!


For those who don't know: the Delaney poll is a weekly poll, were members of the Toon Zone Forums can pick among 10 cartoon characters. After closing (Friday) John Delaney draw a picture of the winner, for the fans to admire.

To see examples of his art, go here (includes the picture he did of Fry and Bender when they won the poll a couple of months back).

The problem with that little scheme is...If I and a bunch of others from here sign up and immdiately vote for Leela they can suspend the poll and site deck-stacking.  However, all the good 'ol regulars can get together and vote in the Anime Jetfighter/Teapot or whatever by a landslide and everyone will go...Wow...the people have spoken ...BAH!  The rules are skewed.

Yeah, kinda why I tried only to address current members of the Toon Zone forums. You can't start posting/voting right after you sign up on the Toon Zone forums, you have to wait for your account to be activated. Usually takes a while, I can't remember how long though, since I didn't check back before a few days later when I signed up.

Man, now Leela trails by one vote. Much closer than it use to be.

I have to ask, that link for the sketches (not the poll) is that updated? Why is the poll up to 64 and the sketches only up to 52? (batman)
My understanding was that he finishes every monday. Its not well explained in the forum or the delany sketch archive

Delaney is a bit overdue for some of the drawings. He does this as a favor to the fans, and have to fit it into his timeschedule, obviously real work comes first. He has however posted a few days ago, and promised to make up for it soon.

It's no rush. I (or probably some other Toon Forum member/lurker) will post a link when the Leela sketch is publicised.

Brilliant drawings, IMO, should be fun to see what he comes up with when he make the Leela sketch.

In case you think you recognise his name from something Futurama related: he sketched Futurama comics #9 and #10.
