If you look at the tops from last time
Quote
#9 - "Mother's Day" - 1.9/4
#12 - "Bender Gets Made" - 1.8/3
#21 - "Put Your Head on my Shoulder" - 1.8/3
#27 - "War is the H-Word" - 1.7/3
#30 - "Anthology of Interest I" - 1.7/3
#31 - "The Problem With Popplers" - 1.7/3
#40 - "A Bicyclops Built For Two" - 1.7/3
the numbers are nearly the same, just the rank within CN isn't (0.1 worse for the first and 3.)
Meaning, something pulled ahead (dragon ball you said?) but not dent Futurama. Also, was there any adult swim telecast higher than what Futurama got in March?

Seems nice and steady though. All around the 1.7-1.8 mark. Shame about the dive in the overall ranking, but I guess the novelty effect has worn off, and the show have found it's level. Even an episode like "A Leela Of Her Own", who's ranked as one of the lowest on CGEF (something I'll never learn to understand or accept, that episode rules), get the same stable share.

Would this be a good rating for AD? Or did they hope for more?

Edit: Just saw mArc's post. We all agreed last time that it was a good performance for Futurama, so it would seem the show have indeed found it's level, a nice high level.

If anyone is interested, viewing figures just came through publically for the Sky 1 UK showing of The Why Of Fry were surpsingly low - 0.67 million (compared with a high of 0.86), probably because Sky didn't show Futurama the previous week (TWOF was broadcast on the 27/4/03, 7:30 PM).

yeah, some shows did pull up, [-mArc-]. usually new Dragon Ball Z episodes get ratings between 3.0 and 4.0, but this time around it didn't. maybe because it wasn't the Fall.

here's the complete ratings list in XLS format.

just the top 10 -

#1 - DRAGON BALL Z - 3/19/2003 - 05:30P-06:00P - 2.3/4 (1864)
#2 - NEW SCOOBY MOVIE - 3/2/2003 - 12:00P-01:00P - 2.2/5 (1824)
#3 - JUSTICE LEAGUE - 3/29/2003 - 10:00P-10:30P - 2.1/4 (1732)
#4 - DRAGON BALL Z - 3/28/2003 - 05:30P-06:00P - 2.1/4 (1747)
#5 - POKEMON - 3/27/2003 - 09:00P-09:30P - 2.1/3 (1767)
#6 - DRAGON BALL Z - 3/27/2003 - 05:30P-06:00P - 2.1/5 (1767)
#7 - DRAGON BALL Z - 3/26/2003 - 05:30P-06:00P - 2.1/4 (1708)
#8 - SCOOBY DOUBLE FEATURE: Cyber Chase - 3/24/2003 - 09:00P-11:00P - 2.1/3 (1774)
#9 - POKEMON - 3/20/2003 - 09:00P-09:30P - 2.1/3 (1722)
#10 - DRAGON BALL Z - 3/20/2003 - 05:30P-06:00P - 2.1/4 (1756)

and yes, a show did get higher than Futurama in the past. Inuyasha got a 2.0/5 in November, back when Adult Swim was still on Saturdays. in March, Futurama was the highest though for Adult Swim. in fact, no other show even made the list.
