what will happen the day the last episode airs

I wake up, it is now summer, although hell is still frozen over outside, so i decide to watch some good old american television.

I point the satellite dish in the right direction and BAM! instant american cable television.

i watch that for about 12 hours, while online talking to you on this message board about how cool the last episode will be. The seconds tick down to show time and the end of my caring about this show.

5...4.....3....2.....1....SHO W TIME!

I turn to FOX, and wouldn't you know what happens to be on, against what every television guide i have ever read on ad offline?

King of The hill....RERUN!!!!!!

 

I say to myself, how can this happen! 

i log on to the net once more to see the message boards in flames as people despratly try to retoinalize this situation.

it is not a week later, same thing happens.

I've already spent over $200 getting a region-free dvd player, importing seasons one and two from the U.K., and preordering three. :P

I may not have watched one on a loop, but once all the way through normally, and then three times all the way through with the commentary on is something I consider to be a personal accomplishment. :P  Season two is coming soon, and I anticipate watching that one at least four or five times.

After the final episode have aired, FOX will probably mark the death of Futurama with a small banquet. Only access for KOTH fans.

Seriously, what WILL happen to this board once the final episode has aired? Do you guys think the community live on in the form of fanfiction, fanart and nostalgia, or will the entire Futurama community pretty much die within a month or two?

Oh, and as a sidenote: KOTH actually has fans (as in not just Simpsons fans who are too lazy to change the channel)? Who are these people, and where can I go to beat the living crap out of them?

I need to find a true KOTH fan, and once i do, i will beat the living crap out of them and/or pelt them with semi automatic paint ball gun fire from a range of 100 yards. depends on how lazy i am.

also this board along with many other sites will die once the last episode airs within a month or two...three tops. fan art and fan fiction are inspired by the show, and take their ideas from it. No show, no new ideas, no new good realistic fan fiction. most definately i will finish my fan fiction series, with much time to spare before this happens.

also, if the last episode is a total bust for all, you know, a hit for shippers, and not all that good anyway. we will all be in an uproar over this development, and the board will live on for four months.

as for the websites, well either they will be taken down, replaced with some other site, or be abandoned to forever inform people that the last episode either sucked balls or was really really good for all, and everyone can live on in happiness the rest of their lives.

i think that the first outcome will come true....

just my thoughts on all this crap...

Region free DVD-players allow you to play any dvd from any region in the world.  DVD players from the U.S. (region 1) can't play U.K. (region 2).  Region free allows you to get by that.

When the last episode airs - it will be some wierd ending from Planet from the Apes to the viewers.  We will find out its the year 3003 after all.

KotH has better ratings because it airs right after the Simpsons (or at least it used to - I haven't seen an episode of that show in over a year). That's how I found Futurama, too - I was watching the Simpsons and was too lazy to change the channel when some new show came on.

A recent interview was just conducted with David Cohen.  My question to him was about the movie.  Supposedly, he did answer the question.  The interview is supposed to be divided up between two different magazines, and whatever is left over, will be posted here.

I dont think its possible to be a King of the Hill fan, the just doesnt have enough "personality" if u know what I mean, the characters dont compel u to watch it, I occassionally tune into it coz here its the show between Futurama and Enterprise (Well it was til they moved futurama and koth to a different day)
