Good luck with your petition, but as long as people watch shows like Joe Millionaire and American Idol, FOX couldn't care less about regular series' and their fans.  Those shows cost pennies to product and reap gajillions in ad revenue, plus boost the networks overall ad rate by skewing the ratings.

All we can hope is that one day people will wake up and abandon the bulk of such shows as they did "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire", the American Idol of it's day.  When that happens, FOX is screwed since besides Simpsons, they can't field a weekly series to save thier lives.  Sure they come up with some interesting ones for a few weeks, but whether it's promition, time slot choice or some other factor, they drop the ball again and again.

You want to hurt FOX?  Get Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sixpack to turn off the "unscripted" game shows and demand quality series programming.  Then sit back and chuckle as FOX craps it's collective pants.

There was one sent off by GotFuturama. It had:

The Futurama petiton was sent to FOX with well over 130,000 signatures
(about 40,000 were removed that used nicknames or offensive language). The
printout has over 1,400 sheets of paper with two pages of selected quotes
from the fans.

I signed that ages ago.

And not a single word from FOX in response.

Well, at least Gail Berman got a free supply of toilet paper.

The solution to these problems is not signing petitions and writing letters.

We must stab each and every Fox executive who supported Futurama's cancellation (i.e. we must stab each and every Fox executive)

Most of those shows listed really don't deserve to be saved. Is anyone really going to miss "Fastlane" or "The Pitts"?

COL

Smitty's idea sounds tempting, however I have the bad feeling that not even excessive use of violence will help...

Meah, The Pitts was OKAY, nyah. I'd give it a season, then see if it was worth keeping. FOX cannot kill it simply because the first 2 episode were not "THE SIMPSONS, 300 TH EPISODE!" That petiton curses FOX, therefore they will not listen. Do you think there is anyway we could get our hands on that selected quote page?

There is one way to get to FOX buy some shares of there stock. After you do this goto a shareholders meeting and raise hell about the way they have been treating Futurama. Maybe if you are lucky theyll listen to you but my guess is theyll have security remove you from the building.

No, but there was a thread regarding some sound track. And has it occoured to anyone that fox disregarded the petition, because they consider one from the internet, tot\tally unbinding. Whats to stop some one signing it multiple times?

I won't sign that petition, because some shows deserved to die.

There are lots of shows that deserve a fate worse than death, namely reality shows.  Plus you cant tell a network that they have betreyed viewers and tell them they violated ethics when they have NO SOULS.

Give it a rest hey?
If a petition dedicated to futurama with 130,000 INTERNET signitures didnt make Fox renew it or even blink, then what is 1 petition about x number of other cancelled shows, with 100 signitures going to do?

Give up, only one thing can make Fox renew futurama and that is fox, no1 else. We just have to wait for the final word that its dead.

Now we play the waiting game... the waiting game sucks! Lets play Hungry Hungry Hippos!!

What Grim said is so true.
Internet petitions never seem to hold much credibility.

Grim is right.
Plus Fox are just stupid. They lose ratings with this programme because they don''t show Futurama. Say, for example, someone turns to Fox to watch it, then it isn't on, then the person would do th same again and again! Believing that it isn't on.
Plus, someone should write a letter to fox, stating that we believe that Fox should consiter showing more episode (new episodes).
So how long until we see the Sting? Does anybody know. All I can say that is one of the first people to know is Here!
I hope that it'll be on Easter Sunday, being the 20th of April 2003!
Now to watch some old episodes in my bedroom. I think I'll watch Seaosn one! *Because I can't watch Season three, Bloody Fox*
