Well, looks like the FOX scheduling has been confirmed. Next week on the FOX website lists a KOTH repeat. Note the lack of a "Futurama is pre-empted this one night only" (hah!). And looking at the affiliates, those listing April 27th already have a "Simpsons" repeat scheduled (the 300th, no less). Looks like we're in for a long wait for "The Sting"  :(.

Holy crap, it looks like our worst fears are confirmed.  Yesterday's ep was the end for who-knows-how-long.  Well, come May, we will know officially the fate of Futurama.  Either Fox will can it for good and give the remaining eps to CN, or we have another summer (or possibly another agonizing season, knowing Fox) before us.  Too bad nobody here has psychic powers, because the lack of knowing the truth and outcome of this is tearing me apart.

A "King of the Hill" repeat? Oh boy, my dreams finally came true! Maybe it's a crossover episode, when Hank starts dating Marge Simpson with big boobs! Who needs "The Why of Fry" when we have such fine Fox television!

Did you see that new FOX show coming in April? These men with masks date this woman, but the woman never sees his face. Quality FOX programming. [also has gun to head]

I do!  In my very first PEEL post, I said that FOX would air an 8 episode "Season 5".  And 363 days later, I've been proven right!!!  :D

Now use those psychic powers to make the brains of FOX execs melt and come out through their ears. Or just their head explode, like in that horror movie (Scannaers, or something) and I'll vote you POTM April 2003.

Roll on the summer repeats.

Who or what is Pat Buchanan? It'll be two tortuously long seasons of eight episodes each, with constant interruptions due to KOTH and Simpsons repeats, and FNL matches.

The extent of your psychicness is astounding!

My goodness, that prediction was right on target!  Now, PCC Fred, do you think we'll be seeing the rest of the eps in the summer, or do you think we'll have to wait till next November?

I'm optimistic that we'll see the rest of the eps in the summer.  I think Fox wants to be done with the show.  (And I, for one, can't wait.)

But If they wanted to be done with the show, why couldn't they just air all of the remaining episodes in one night? Or show Futurama 8 weeks in a row? It's FOX's incredible stupidness that astounds me..

So looks like we'll be seeing Futurama in June and July (there's bound to be at least one pre-emption in there). along with other new "outstanding" FOX summer programs like Keen Eddie, Temptation Island 3, Junior American Idol, and World's Most Beautiful Bitches (seriously, I'm not making those last 2 up).

If Molten Boron's numbers are correct, nobody watches Futurama in the States.  The cross section of nationalities on this board is a microcosm of viewership.  With the states being over 300 miilion in population, then by ratio wouldn't there be mostly Americans posting on this board.  The porpotions reflect the poularity of Futurama in it's key market. Only those with taste watch it.  That unfourtunatly is not nearly enough.  Now wrestling mind you, through the roof in the states   :nono:

People watch Futurama in US, its only in a very bad timeslot with it is on a traditional news timeslot and sports overflow timeslot.  Late 2002, Futurama was the #2 in its timeslot and one of the highest rated shows on Fox even beating KOTH and MitM.  Fox has not advertised Futurama this year or even last year.  When "Less Than Hero" ran Futurama apeared and the Fox Sunday intro, but Futurama has not apeared since.  Fox is trying to kill the ratings of Futurama so it can be cancled.  Currently, Futurama is #4 in its timeslot.

I feel that Fox is going to ax Futurama once the last episode is shown or earlier, then KoTH will get Futurama's timeslot then giving KoTH the same Futurama treatment then ax it two years from now, then when Simpons ratings go down, Fox will cancel it, just like Married with Children. Then animation will be gone from Fox, and here comes Temptation Island 7.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again:
What I done get is this, FOX doesn't like Futurama, they don't promote it, gave it a bad timeslot, therefore it gets bad ratings, but still they don't say it has been cancelled nor do they show the remaning episodes. Instead they create seasons with a few episodes and they'll annouce that there is no need to order new one since there are still some left...
What do they want? That Matt Groeing starts to wear a suit and include "FOX IS GREAT" messages into every episode of Simpsons and Futurama?

Hmm...that might work. Matt could change his name to "I Hate Matt Groening" and then Futurama would be set.
