Has anyone ever had a situation when they couldn't watch Futurama besides Football or news coverage? I remember when "A pharoah to remember" came on, my power was knocked out and I couldn't watch Futurama.

November 2000.  "War is the H-Word."

At the end of episode, right when Bender spake a certain unmentionable word, Fox News cut in with news about the fradulent Presidential election telling us that they had no news to tell us at the moment.  Asses.  The timing was so perfect, that for a second or two, it looked like maybe the cut-away was actually part of the episode.  When it became apparent that it was not, the hurling of epithets commenced.

(I realize that counts as "news coverage", but it really honked me off.)

I missed "Brannigan, Begin Again" when I was in hospital, and "AOI 1" when I was on holiday.  However both times I got someone to tape it for me.

There have also been a few episodes that clashed with F1 races, so I taped the episodes.  However a race last year was so dull and boring I ended up watching Futurama anyway.

There is currently a commercial airing that shows two F1 drivers piloting their cars from the stands via remote control.  Talk about hitting the nail on the head...

That horrible evening when "War is the H-Word" was airing in the Central Time Zone...Right after Bender said "ass, oh no!" the show was interrupted by a speech from Congress. So that's what really happens when Bender says ass. It's worse than a thousand worlds blowing up!

"Space Pilot 3000". Missed it because, I didn't know Futurama was on back then.

But I found it later "somewhere" and now I have the DVD, so all is well.

in 2001 our affiliate pre-empted The Honking and War is the H-Word for football. that's pretty much it.

My closest fox affiliate has never missed a regularly sceduled episode of Futurama.  From SP3K to The Why Of Fry I have seen each and every episode.  I did however, miss the fist five minutes or so, of The Deep South and Time Keeps on Slippin' as I was farting about and missed the beginning for one reason or another.  I have since endeavoured to be more prompt.

"A Head In The Polls" and "Xmas Story" when they first aired on C4. I was out buying the computer that I'm currently typing on. I only managed to see "Xmas Story" for the first time when I got the S2 box set  :)

I remember the one time I was prevented from watching Futurama.

I beat my cat to death with a claw hammer. I was pretty mad..

The last time I was prevented from watching Futurama, I went shopping for boots with crazy green stripes.

And when I couldn't find any I... I went fishing.

The times I've haven't been able to watch Futurama was the first and second airing of Space Pilot 3000 on fox. The first time it aired my mom called me downstairs to show me a joke some friend of hers had sent her by email so i missed the first 15 minutes. I can't remember if i missed the second airing completly or if I saw just the first 15 minutes. I think I saw it when it aired the third time. But I made sure I was at my friends house (she's got an American Satelitte) when Cartoon network aired it for the first time.

Man, that's a bad choice of timing.  you could beat your cat to death anytime.  Just wait till they suck up to you for a treat, scratch, potty break or scholarship.  Aloof as they are, cats always come around.  Personally I've just stepped on mine.  Less messy.

FOX will probably make that into a long running series... "When pet owners get mad".

The episode Bender adopts all those kids, the channel it's on in Australia changed it's time slot one week, I didn't see it coming, the really annoying thing though was that I later watched a program I'd taped earlier in the week, that had an ad for Futurama on it, that I would have seen and rectified my behaviour because of had I watched the tape the first chance I had.

The funny thing is, the first time I typed out that post, I wrote 'dog' instead of 'cat', because I actually don't own a cat. But then I felt bad about posting about beating my dog to death on an internet forum (mainly because I like my dog) so I changed it to some evil animal which I'd feel good about beating to death with a hammer. Hence 'cat'..

I had my friend over to watch "The Why of Fry" because I was one of the few people left in town with power, and 30 minutes before it came on my power went out. I caught it when it came up on Kazaa, i was pissed about waiting after i heard it was good.

i would be too, but now all is well. i both saw the episode and pulled it off the net. cable connection, where would i be without it. now i can watch the why of fry when ever the hell i want. I HAVE THE CONTROL, not the fox execs who never re-ran more than a handful of episodes in futurama. i shall get more.

I remember when they showed "Hell Is Other Robots" over here, that night I went to the movies with my friends. When we were buying tickets, I remembered that I forgot to ask my parents to tape it for me. I tried ringing them up on a payphone, but my dad was on the internet so I couldn't get through! I was so annoyed!

I have seen the episode NOW though, of course.

Since I watch Futurama on Adult Swim, I've occasionally fallen asleep before seeing it.

Out of the episodes I've seen from Season 1-4, I've only missed Anthology of Interest 3, Luck of the Fryish, Love and Rocket, and several others.

Anthology of Interest 3??? There is only 1 and 2...

And you should really see Luck of the Fryish. Best episode ever, in many peoples opinions including mine.

Luck of The Fryish airs this Monday, it's probably my favorite episode of Futurama, up there with "The Problem with Popplers" and "Parasites Lost"

I missed every episode before like..."Crimes Of The Hot"  because I didn't know Futurama was good, and I didn't watch much TV.

Everybody loves AOI3! Because it's new and we've never seen it and apparently it's on the S3 DVD set... (See http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/15-000131-9/  )

And, if anyone cares, "Luck of the Fry(r)ish" is one of those episodes with alternate titles, like "The (My) Problem with Popplers." They're inconsistently titled depending upon to whom you talk.
