Adult Swim also guided Cartoon Network to its highest ranking to date (#5) for total day delivery of adults 18-13 among ad-supported cable.  The Sunday telecast of Futurama (11 p.m.) scored its highest delivery and rating yet on Cartoon Network with adults 18-34, adults 18-24 and men 18-24.  Among adults 18-34, the 1.0 rating was up 233% vs. last year, and delivery (626,000) increased by 208%.  Adults 18-24 scored a 1.4 rating (up 180%) and delivered 385,000 viewers (up 221%).  Men 18-24 garnered a 1.9 rating (up 171%) and 257,000 viewers (up 213%).

All Futurama needed was ads and the ratings explode.  ;)  Those are very high ratings for a show at 11pm.  :D  If only Fox would ever learn.

One wonders if the ratings will plummet when they go back to "Space Pilot 3000".  :(

Wow, as far as I know, that's excellent ratings for a specialised cable station.

Wouldn't it be fun if CN one day beat FOX in Futurama ratings (read: CN's rating continue to explode, not that FOX will plummet).

Do they mention anything about people under 18? Becasue I'm under 18 and I still watch Futurama. Not on CN though...

no they didn't. CN really doesn't give a crap about people under 18 who watch adult swim (no offense) because 18-34 is their target audience.

although within days we should be receiving the overall Nielsen ratings for Futurama in January.

Presumably because the 18-34 year olds have expendable capital but no other controlling influence (i.e. parents, spouses  ;)).

Although, I'm 18-34 and have never felt any compunction to buy products advertised anywhere; in fact, usually the opposite applies.

Funny how they don't count the ratings for people under 18, at my high school it seems like a lot of kids are watching Futurama on Adult Swim. Oh well, that's not gonna stop us youngin's from watching it.  :)

LOL, en0mis, that's totally the opposite of my high school.  I only know one other person besides me that watches it.  :x

I'm really happy to see Futurama getting high ratings!  W0o0o0!  As long as it doesn't get trendy, though, like Spongebob. :

Yeah, Futurama getting as popular as Spongebob would kind of suck ... it'd be like a fad. But at least it'd be easier to get a cool Futurama shirt.

Heh, I go through the hallways of my school with my Futurama - pictured binder and sometimes get a few "That's show's funny" or "I saw that before" and what not. One time some guy said to me "Bite my shiny metal ass!" Lol.  :D

Go forth, children, and spread the word among the heathen masses. Open their eyes, lead them to the tv, so they too may see the light and become faithfull.

And if that doesn't work, I authorize you to wake holy war on the infidels.
