Yes, i really enjoyed the new episode. It's about time though...jeeze. Fox seems to think that we have something better to do than watch Futurama...oh how wrong are they? Well, we have more flexo in the next episode it seems..and it coincides well with the month of "Forbidden Tales of Robot Lust" on my futurama calendar.

Brilliant ep, liked it. Especially the bit where Amy had more brains than Leela for once, just before she rescues Kif.

Got to back you up on the one Kryten, as another Amy-aholic. (There that'll stuff any rumours I'm a Leela-holic).

I think Amy should go back to her slutty moron ways like in season 2. Why do some people want Amy to be smart, intelligence is overrated, she has becum a more dull character in season 3.

That episode was at least above average. Especially I love those Amazon quotes like "Me hear people, but me not see people - No big deal, everyone make mistake - We no can dunk but good fundamentals"... And Zap - heh heh

Teral's waaaaaaay too long review of "Amazonian Woman In The Mood"Now that's what I call an episode, I'll definately rank this in top-5. But then again every episode involving Kif (and to an lesser extent the Zapper) is an instant classic in my book. The ping-pong action and dialog between theese two is just phenomenal. The Zapper as the self-appointed fatherfigure for some of his more pathetic men and Kif as the Zapper-loathing, involuntarily victim of the Zapper's fatherfiguring (is that a word? I think not, but there it is.). The Zapper, while always a hoot to watch was in his best form ever in this episode. The whole date-negotiation, and the result is totally in character for the Zapper. He had his date and somehow keeps on going and end up with half-a-date. LOL. The karaoke, again LOL, but don't ever again let him sing on public TV , think about the children. His book of pickuolines, his behaviour on Amazonia and during the "execution", it all was hillarious, and there was much more. But the Zapper wasn't the main treat of this episode, it was the parring of Amy and Kif which really made me love it. I like Kif, very much. In fact he is my favourite male character of Futurama. I think I still have my membershipcard for KFC laying around somewhere . If you wanna join KFC ask our vice-president KENNEDY. Kif's just such a genuinly nice guy, and he has been cursed with the Zapper as his CO, so it was a thrill to see him finally find some happiness. But the thorny way he had to walk to get there was just wonderfull. His shynes, following the Zapper's advice, the punishment on Amazonia and finally the rescue by Amy (after declaring his love to her). Awwww, how cute . Amy. I had some big reservations about her when I saw the first few episodes of Futurama (and when I came to this board). I found her shallow and one'dimensional. Kryten however objected and pointed me to this episode. And I changed my mind considerably about her after seeing it. It shows that she is more than JUST a party slut. She has feelings for Kif, even before he admits to her that he loves her. She recues Kif in the end, good job. She's already my #2 fave female character (no points for guessing who's #1). Leela, was her usually charming, sexy, acturian kung-fu fighting, no-nonsense, caring, friendly self. Her loathing for the Zapper was as always hillarious, as was seeing her wear her FAO uniform on a date. The rest was good, if forgettable. Zoidy's little sidestory was, as always, very amusing. Bender saves the day (and bags a bodyfull of gold), good. The plot. I like the story. nice good flow, good characters, good pairings and the Kif/Amy relationship. Just loooove it. The oneliners was among the series best, Zapper and Kif delivering the most. Short commets: Love the basketball-joke, Fry flying the ship, the snuh-snuh, the karaoke, the Fry/Bender/Zapper remarks while being prisoner (boy, talk about malestereotyping ). Oh have I méntioned I like the Kif/Zapper "banter" . So to sum up. This is a sure 10. The second-best episode so far in the serie (tie with X-mas story). If I could I'd give it 15 (out of 10).

4/10, seriously? I'm all for opinions, but seriously?...
Yes I just felt it was way to sexist.. it was funny years ago but I don't think it is any more. Every time I view it this episode seems to get worse and worse.. Will never be below Holiday (Not so) Spectacular that's for sure Well, as part of the Random Order Test, I'm just off to pop the DVD in and have a watch of this myself (since I suddenly have a spare hour). Expect a decent review when I'm done.
Then be disappointed when I don't post one.
Will/Will not read tomorrow morning!

So, Amazon Women In The Mood. First episode of Season 3, and one of the highest rated. I went in with middling expectations, this episode never having been one of my particular favourites. Opening caption, billboard cartoon and the Femputer design were all absolutely brilliant. The first line that made me laugh out loud was "Men who call too much are the worst. I bet." The line that made me laugh hardest was "Maybe you can interface with my ass. By biting it!" from Bender. Bender at his best, really, is what made this episode what it is. He's not overly jerkish, and provides much of the comedy (as well as the plot resolution). The plot itself was fairly well paced, although the ending was slightly rushed, I thought. There's a lot to wrap up in a short space of time though, so it's understandable. I've come to see this in a lot of shows that fit into the half-hour slot, and I think it's genuinely not the fault of the writers, but the networks, who don't allow them to overrun the timeslot by a couple of minutes (because that would take up valuable advertising airtime) and force them to cram everything into the time given. The sizing of the giants was somewhat inconsistent, but overall the animation was excellent, particularly the space shots. There was also some fantastic voice acting, particularly during the kareoke. Particularly from Maurice LaMarche... although Billy West does a brilliant job of singing badly. Overall, a solid episode like many from Season 6. Only one pop-culture reference (giant can of Tab), and a decent "classic" feel. 8/10
