I have to say I love what Cartoon Network is doing to promote Adult Swim. For the past couple of weeks there have been posters promoting a special adult swim giveaway at a bar. The posters were everywhere and had a picture of Bender and Anglelyne.
The bar wasn?t that crowded when I first went there, but it still was only 10:20.  I answered a trivia question (What law does Zap follow?) I got the question and got a free tee-shirt which was wrapped up like a roll of duct tape. Then there was another game where you threw coins into buckets, I threw the coin in the second bucket and missed a third which would be another T-shirt. I looked at the top prize, a HGB toy and asked how many trivia questions I would have to answer to move on up? After 5 quick questions I got my hands on a free HGB (who is digesting Bender) and scared the questioners. I came back later and they gave me a metal sign, they said I already knew everything. It was fun, and I am wondering if any other place has some of these promotions?

I saw one of the shirts they are white with the pic of Bender and Anglelyne and adult swim logo on the cover? not sure if I want to open it up or not?

The bar was crowded, but that is normal for a college town on a Thursday. When I was there most people didn't know the trivia questions... so I think I scared them with getting 5 right with out pausing and adding in the line from the show (ie Brannigans Law: Hard and Fast!)

Very cool. I haven't seen anything like it in Toronto - but none of the cable companies here are carrying CN (as far as I know).

Some things America gets right, like CN advertising and giving away free stuff!

I haven't seen anything in the bars around here.  I'm going to have to look closer and see if there are any CN Futurama promos around.

Wow, that's so crazy.  About two weeks ago I saw what must have been the same poster on the Business College's building here on campus.  It was advertising for a Futurama/adult swim "viewing party" or something to that effect.  Unfortunately I had to work at the time it was being held.  Still, it felt good to know that hundreds of people saw that poster.

Hi. They're actually doing one in Philly this Friday (Feb 28). It's at a bar on Temple University's campus called the Draught Horse (1432 Cecil B. Moore Ave).  It's scheduled to run from 8-11PM.
