As 2002 comes to a close (or has come to a close in some places) what are some of your favorite moments of 2002 involving Futurama. Also, what is your favorite episode aired in 2002?

eh, i could have done without the leela/amy pornish type scenes at the end. the ending of the dop episode was both sad and happy. i'd love that episode, minus the previous comment.

My favourite moment of 2002 was Leela meeting her parents for the first time.  My favourite episode was probably Godfellas.

The Leela and Fry scene where she resusitates him was one of the best.

The greatest moment, in my mind, had to be the Amy/Leela lesbian wrestling match.

The time when they actually showed the episode across the nation.  Or was that just a hallucination?

Fry: That would be like me dating a really fat girl, only I'd live inside her, and we'd be all like vroom, woosh [Insert vaguely spaceship-like noises here]

for me it's a tie between Leela meeting her parents (hence my avatar)and the resucitation scene in LAR

Hmm I would probably say mine is most of the Fry/Seymour scenes in Jurassic Bark.

But my favourite line would have to be "Another science fiction show cancelled before its time." Hehe. The bitter irony!

Yup, That resucitaion scene in L&R as well as the whole buildup to that with Leela diabling the ships memory, is one of the best scenes of 2002.  As well as the two crews battling it out at Mellvar's evil bidding in WNFHGB is near the top of my list.  The last scene in Leela's homeworld is almost to good for words.

Actually there were many great episodes, most of them have been named already in previous posts and i don't dare to pick one of them.
So rather choose as my favorite Futurama moment those days when the Season 1 und the Season 2 Boxes were released...

I've just seen "2001" and so I finally decide that "Love & Rocket" was the best episode of 2002!

Favorite episode is either "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" or "A Leela Of Her Own".

Favorite moment: too many to count!

But I love the montage of clips at the end of "Leela's Homeworld" and the wrestling scene in "Jurassic Bark".

Mmmm,

If I was picking out single moments I'd pick, Zoidberg's "Are you coming on to me?" exchange with The President in Roswell and the Zapp's "Quiet you!" to Shatner in WNFHGB.

My favourate episode of 2002 is probably 'Leela's Homeworld', brilliant. And one that isn't mentioned much is that it's probably the best directed episode of Futurama to date. 'Godfellas' comes a close second, and the line Bender had about how is he meant to deal with questions coming out of his ass is one of the best. That might be the wrong words, but it was something to that effect  :)

I was going to put "Roswell That Ends Well" as my favorite (it's in the top-5 of my all-time faves), but then I realized it aired in 2001. I'm nothing if not nitpickish.  ;)

We only had 6 season 3 episodes that aired in Australia this year! Last year we had none  :(

So when your eating your Christmas dinner, I hope you all choke, just a little bit.  ;)

My favourite moment has to be the fact that Channel 4 showed season 3, and that they weren't cut too much!

I loved the ending of "Luck of the Fryish" though, and "Time Keeps on Slippin'" was one of my favourite episodes  :)

Slightly not on topic, but my favorite moment was a moment when I watched the Futurama for first time  :p. It was this year.

End of jurassic bark.  I think that the leela parents scene would have been a lot better if they didn't reveal right at the beginning that those were her parents.  To me, that kinda ruined the whole episode.

2 other favorite moments:
-Whenever bender says "bite my shiney metal ass"
-Whenever Zoidberg says "Robot" (only more like Rob't) - I laugh out loud every time.

Crimes of the Hot was my favourite episode for Season 5, although there has only been 4...

I figured they were a tongue in cheek nod to the anime tradition of 'fan service' Did anybody else see it that way or was it just me?

Leela and Amy porn, Leela and Amy wrestling in sexy wrestling outfits, it's all the same thing.

That's what really irked me about that episode. If they had ended the scene with Fry and Leela looking up at the stars then the emotional part of the episode would have been worthwhile. As it turned out, it wasn't. But it was still good to see.

I didn't mind the Leela's parents at the start thing, because it would have been predictable as hell otherwise. So everybody's wrong but me, as usual.

I've have to go with the fact that Futurama returned to Australian TV screens (excluding cable).... After a three year hiatus. Or thereabouts.

That and the Aussie Release of the Season 1 DVDs  :)
