Was it just me or was everything done perfectly?  Cubert and Dwight complimented each other perfectly, Bender's "pregnancy was hilarious, what more can I say?  This was a terrific episode.

Was a good episode. Not outstanding, but good. I'd rate it at 5/5 still.
Cubert and Dwight, great team and funny too. Bender being pregnant was hilarious! Benderbrau!
Had laughs all the way through, and no groaners either.

I have to say it's a great ep. This was just funny and good in all directions. I hope we have more like it. It's been a few eps since we've seen an ep relating to delivering and it's good to see an ep about it. Plus, Bender did a funny imitation of a pregnant woman. A+

Damn, I must have been the only person who was really creeped out with Bender being pregnant, especially when he 'gave birth.'

After 2 years of waiting, we're finally introduced to Dwight Conrad, and, well, I'm not sure what I think of him. He and Cubert worked pretty well together. However, on a technical point, was I the only one who noticed how his accent seemed to disappear randomly? Still, he's like a little Hermes, which is all fine and dandy.

Good reappearences by Scruffy, the H.G. Blob, and Cubert, of course.

My Favorite Lines:

Cubert (using Prof's voice): “Good news everyone. I’m a horse’s butt.”
Prof: “That’s not good news at all!”

Dwight: “Our dads are never impressed, no matter what we do.”
Cubert: “Maybe we should start a fire.”

Prof (on being declared dead): “You take one nap in a ditch in the park, and they start declaring you this and that.”

H.G. Blob: “You can shove your apology up your one way digestive system.”

Overall, a B.

Maybe it was the two years of anticpation that killed this for me. Oh, it wasn't BAD... not by a long shot. The "pregnant Bender" stuff kept me laughing. It's just... was there a real REASON they had to hold on to this one for such a long time?

Hmm... I guess it's FOX I hate, not the episode.

I liked this ep, even though I hate brats in TV shows.
My favorite moment was when Hermes was telling the boys that they didn't have overhead, or supplies, or "even one of these!" Zoidberg-"Hello, people!"  :laff:

I liked the sub-plot more than the main plot.  The opening scene buying beer in the 7 to the 11th power convieniece store was funny  "Aww baby wants a Zima"  :laff: Later on Leela tells the kids Alcohol is very very bad until you turn 21 then its very very good  :laff:
I laughed at Bender's realization that you can brew your own beer, and his head pops off on a spring.  Not enough participation by the rest of the crew though.  Zoidy just said a couple of words and when Scruffy has more lines than Amy, left it feeling hurried and un-resolved.  I think it was one of those episodes that probably had too much in it to squeeze into 23 minutes.  I'll wager there are a few deleted scenes from this one.  As much as I hate Cubert, he was not entirely unwatchable this time.  Dwight is good addition and it was good to see LaBarbra again.  The Blob's dad was hilarious.  I just hope I can go and buy the Benderbrau home brew kit soon!  All in all, good but a little forced.  I give it 7 outta 10.

Hermes' wife LaBarbara was talking Rastafarian so fast, I couldn't even understand her most of the time. But this episode was better than I expected. Great teamups with Prof. and Hermes, and Fry, Leela and Bender. Cubert and Dwight weren't as anooying as I figured them to be.

Not that bad of an episode... Didn't Laugh as much as I did with the last episode... but still very good. Cubert and Hubert were funny as hell.

Cubert: "Add these decails I got they will make the ship goes faster!"
Leela: "What basis do you have for that..."
Cubert: "I'm 12"

At first I thought "No! An episode devoted to Cubert!" But I forgot that this is really a season three episode, and besides the episode turned out great. Cubert and Dwight were one great duo in this episode. I was glad to see Dwight and LaBarbara get more air time. And Bender "pregnant" with yeast was pretty funny too.
"It's a brew! 5 gallons and 4 ounces!"  :laff:

A very satisfying ep, many good jokes, no clunkers.  Not at the level of Roswell That Ends Well, Luck of the Fryish or other A-level episodes but a solid B.
I enjoyed Dwight and Cubert but hope that's the last we see of them.  Pregnant Bender was great but without any lines for Amy it can't rate an A.
Cubert (with the professor's voice): 'Good news everyone!  I'm a horse's butt.'
Professor: 'I am?  That's not good news at all.'

This episode must have been a 5 out of 5, I say "must have" because I saw it very late last night while working to keep my eyes open, and I'd still give it a solid 4 - but reserve my right to upgrade it on second viewing.

I - like most is seems - never cared much for Cubert, but his interaction with Dwight really made up for past sins.  I even laughed hard at one of his jokes (paraphrasing, remember I was half asleep):

Cubert to Leela (who is painting Planet Express ship red):  Here, put this flame decal I got out of my cereal on it.  It will make the ship go faster.

Leela:  And exactly what scientific fact do you base that theory on?

Cubert:  Uh - I'm 12?

Bender's "pregnancy" was non-stop fun, H. G. Blobs always make me laugh and Farnsworth has one golden line afer another.

Screw it - I don't have to watch again to say "5".

Did anyone catch the closing credits? Was Kath Soucie invovled in this episode at all? The reason that I ask is that the Fox website had labeled Dawnn Lewis as providing the voice for Cubert this time around and it did sound a little different during the episode it just didn't sound different enough. Anybody catch the closing credits to verify one way or another?
RM
PS, loved Dwight although I wish he had more of an accent like Hermes and LaBarbara. I think that would have been more fun. Anybody catch that the Conrad home looked alot like the Huxtables residence?

Did FOX ever tell the truth?  ;)

Kath is in in the ending credit as stated in the capsule (which by the way is lacking due to me being busy this weekend. Go and submit your "Did you notice?" and goofs and stuff damnit!).

I liked the episode OK. The subplot seemed a bit forced and bot Leela and Hermes acted way out of character. It had it's good jokes (laughed several times), but the story plots I really didn't care for. Overall maybe 4/5.

I really liked that episode, and I really like the addition of Dwight.  He seems one of the most level-headed characters in the show.  Cubert was fine, although there were a few moments I was close to cringing.  I liked the HG Blob apology thing, and Hermes and the Professor still being able to feel pain.  One little weirdness, however, is that Cubert and Dwight are so afraid of the blob when all they have to do is sprinkle salt on it.  Oh, anyone else catch all the science jokes on the different brands of beer?

Did anyone catch the crack made on the FOX Network? Cubert (or "QBert" as in the Season 2 DVD subtitles) said something like, "We're almost old enough to make the FOX Network look infantile!" Does anyone know exactly what he said? Anyway, a little early in Futurama history to be cracking on FOX. Maybe that's why FOX held the episode.

Worst.  Reasoning.  Ever.  I present to you Exhibit A, "When Aliens Attack."

"Wow, a real TV studio."
"Well, we're a FOX affiliate."

"Oh my god!  You knocked FOX off the air!"
"Pfft, like anyone on Earth cares."

Exhibit B, "Mars University."

Dwight: “Our dads are never impressed, no matter what we do.”
Cubert: “Maybe we should start a fire.”

H.G. Blob: “You can shove your apology up your one way digestive system.”

Those are my favorite 2 quotes from the episode.

My rating: 9 out of 10 - good episode, but I would like to see more of the crew, and less of the kids.  They were good in this episode, but I like it when the plot is more based on the adults. I also liked the bender pregnancy scene, and the red spaceship.

Hmmm, I wasn't that impressed with this one I have to say. granted, it was good, but it wasn't up to usual standards in my opinion. The plot was just a little lame, and slightly boring.

However, there were some good jokes, some of the best have been posted above. I really like the Newspaper headline which was something like "Two youngsters win Paperboy of the month award on slow news day"
Clever

Overall, 7.5/10, disappointing for Futurama standards.

I wasn't too impressed I'm afraid - there are so many better episodes. I liked the sub-plot (Bender's pregnancy) heaps more than the main one. I hate children on TV, in cartoon form or not. They are sooooooo annoying.

Was an alrite episode. Ill agree with anyone who said the subplot was better than the main one.

I though the prof and Hermees were too out of character, and not really funny at all. Well xcept for ofcourse.... "but do you have one of these?" [switches to shot of Zoidberg]
I laughed a long time at that one...
And Zoidy in the garbage dumpster was great, he just kinda popped up. It woulda been hilarious if he didnt even say anything, they just have him come out of a dumpster randomly in the background...

What a wonderful, brilliant episode! I’ve been especially looking forward to this one since the beginning of the year when the rest of the remaining episodes were listed. Seeing as this was a mid season 3 episode, I really hoped to see it in Fox’s ‘so called’ Season 4, but was extremely disappointed when they left it. But now the waiting is over, and I’ve finally had the chance to see it, and it was well worth the wait. I’ve always thought Cubert’s snotty comments are great, and with the addition of Dwight, he’s even better! Dwight’s a really good character too. Maybe this episode wasn’t a serious deep episode, but it wasn’t meant to be, it’s just a really fun episode, and one of the funniest EVER! This was packed with top jokes and one-liners. I loved the professor’s new ‘half baked’ invention as Cubert put it. That speaking things was great, especially when Cubert spoke into it. And when Hermes was jealous of his son doing better than him, and saying about all the things Dwight still doesn’t have, like “that thing over there”- Dr Zoidberg. And when Dwight said “My manwich!” just like Hermes did in ‘The Deep South’, like father like son I guess. And when Hermes said that they’ll apologise to the Blob Guy with “cheap words”, and when Cubert met the crew again, and called Fry ‘idiot’ again. And I though Professor Farnsworth’s cheek seeking kiss to Cubert was hilarious. And then we have the sub plot with Bender being pregnant, and his knitting and burping was so funny and being pregnant was great. There are just too many great jokes to list. Some people seem to think the sub plot was better, but I think both plots were equally strong, well done, and very funny. There was some really great animation and eye candy as well, and plenty of cool sight gags and things in the future that we hadn’t seen before and were new, just like the Season One episodes. I loved the neighbourhood floating in space; it was really great eye candy, interesting and cool. And the animation of the net picking up the dumped papers on the moon was awesome. And the flying tricycle type thing Cubert and Dwight built was nicely animated, and of course the red Planet Express ship. It was cool to see more of the blob guy again, as well as his family. And as this was an older Season 3 episode, I expect that was the reason why there wasn’t any of the wackiness like it the previous two Season 4 episodes, which was a good thing. Sure the episode isn’t the very best ever, but it’s extremely good, and definitely one of my favourites, and it achieves it’s aims of being a fun, light episode, while remaining interesting and very funny at the same time, with some eye candy as well. And I liked the way it used two minor characters to focus on, and give them a chance to shine. I like variety, and it worked very well. I hope to see more of Cubert and Dwight in the remaining episodes, lets hope they make another appearance.

I am afraid I don't share the general enthusiasm in this thread. I thought this episode was slightly boring. Some of the jokes were predictable, like the time when the fathers were proud of their son's unfair practices, and other elements were just downright uninspired.

The whole "from paperboys to company owners and back to being pennyless"-plot was predictable for instance.

There were some elements I liked, for instance the referrence to Zoidberg as a prop or Zoidberg's dive into the dumpster. (Yes, I admit, I do like Zoidberg...  :o)

But what irked me the most was how much Leela behaved out of character. Her excitement about the opportunity to get wasted just doesn't feel right. She is way too much in charge, in control and responsible to get sloshed without any reason. Likewise, I don't see a self-confident woman like her taking orders from spoiled brats... If she were into brats, Fry wouldn't be single anymore, after all!

Anyway, I rated this show 2 out of 5, and I think it could very well be the episode that left me the least unimpressed so far.

There is something I would like to add. What exactly do you need two twelve year olds for, when you already got Fry and Bender? Remember how they played with that spaceshipmodel, or how Fry imitated the sound of the smashed vase towards the end of "Parasites lost"?

There really is no need for more "kids". The whole main plot, about the delivery and them dumping the papers in a crater, could have just as well taken place with Fry and Bender in the roles of the kids. It is not as if they would be exactly above behaviour like that.

So, for me, the kids are superflous. Just two more characters who add nothing new to the show. On the contrary, they could take away some of the action that Fry and Bender would be getting otherwise- and those two are far more interesting.
