Mediaweek reports that Cartoon Network will expand their Adult Swim block to 5 nights a week starting Sunday, January 12th. Speculation was around a bit earlier already but it looks final now.
The new timeslots will be Sunday through Thursday from 11pm to 1am with Futurama as the opener at 11pm from Monday through Thursday. (read more)

11pm seems to be the best timeslot adult swim has to offer. And we get it 4 out of 5 times   :p

I wonder if, maybe, Fox makes what's left into six seasons, and CN shows some of the unaired episodes in about a years time before the 6th season begins.

Best news in a long time. If they show the eps. in production code order first, that's even better.

The only question I have is about the rest of Adult Swim. Are they toasting the Sun. and Sat. evening AS's or what? If they don't, I don't think they have enough shows to spread out across 4 nights. Most AS shows are either really young or only have 13 or so eps.

Maybe new series, perhaps?

ASA is history. Apparently, kiddies can stay up later on Saturday nights, and CN doesn't want parents complaining.

Does this go for the UK too? because we dont really have adult swim but they show baby blues and Home movies late at night.

It doesn't apply for the UK. But you can watch it on Channel 4 in the morning.  ;)

Not ALL of it though. Inuyasha's staying on board. Cowboy Bebop is staying on board (the movie will be in theaters), and Yu Yu Hakusho is supposedly staying on board since now Adult Swim weeknights have been expanded by one hour (now it goes to 2 AM).

We're only losing shows we've seen already which have nothing new to offer. Outlaw Star's been run at least 11 times. Gundam 0083 has aired twice and that's leaving next week. Gundam 0080 will air once beginning November 16th and then it gets booted. And Mobile Suit Gundam has aired on Toonami.
