That's the official word.

For the record, a couple of years ago, Family Guy was about to be cancelled, but an Emmy award made FOX reverse their decision (though they later cancelled it anyway).

Since FOX hasn't necessarily said it's "cancelled" yet, the Emmy will definitely help.

Damn straight it's an Outstanding Animated Program.

Take that, Lisa Simpson, queen of the politically correct!

Here's a more specific link - as you can see, the "award winner" gif is SUPPOSED to be next to Futurama, so I'm assuming that's confirmation to any doubters.

*gasp* B-but... this is GOOD news! How can that be!

Samurai Jack should've won the other award, though.

Well let's just hope fox will rethink it's position towards futurama now... 1) emmy 2) cartoon network paid a big sum for the 4 seasons

Futurama and good news in the same sentance! If anyone working for Fox has more than one brain cell, then Futurama might have a chance.

Wow this is good news.
Problem is other shows, Farscape for example have just won a few awards but it has just been cancelled. Hopefully this will not be the cae with Futurama.

I thought the emmys were supposed to be the 22nd, so I missed it.  I guess the animated program category isn't shown then or something.  I wish I could have watched it.

YAY! I liked both Futurama and Simpsons episodes. I thought for sure Simpsons was going to win, but I guess I was proved wrong. This totally rocks! This may change FOX's mind about Futurama. But I doubt it will. At least it's going to 7:30.

Hooray! Fox will never reconsider, but at least now David X. and co. will have something to wave around whenever some network idiot says their show stinks.

Walking with Prehistoric Beasts? I remember that, not as good as walking with Dinosaurs, Samurai Jack should have won.

Finally! The right things are still happening in the world, like in that good old time of elves, dwarves, wizards and other orcs. :-)
Yeah, maybe it means we’ll see a really all-new season of Futurama. Six or maybe even seven.
Of course, there’s yet a possibility that it was only a mistake...
