This is most likely old news but Katey Sagal is going to be on that new show "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter" with John Ritter on ABC. Not saying I'll watch it, although I like Jack Tripper and Peggy, but at least she is doing other things.

I hope that national television would show married with children again, because I was so young when they first show it.

She was also on the short lived show that Hank Azaria did last season. She has actually stayed busy - probably more so than any of the other cast members of Married with Children.

Here's something I've been too lazy to look up, so I think I'll give it a shot on PEEL. We all know that Katey Sagal played Peg Bundy on Married...With Children and her character was at least old enough to have two teenage children. However, in some magazine article I read about Futurama, Ms. Sagal apparently seems *younger* than when she played Peg Bundy? Excuse me? Now, maybe I'm just a terrible judge of age, but this doesn't seem right.

Katey is born in 1957, and was about 30 when "Married...With Children" started in 1987. Kelly looked like she was around 14 in the pilot, according to the show Peg got pregnant after her final year in high school. Depending on when Americans leave high school this could be chronologic accurate.

"Married.." was pretty oblivious to continuity, but making Kelly in her mid-twenties when the show ended doesn't seem off (I recall something like 26 was mentioned at one point), so things more or less checks out.

Besides it's nothing new that people play characters of vastly different age than themself. How many of the cast in "Beverly Hills 90210" was actually teenagers?

Edit: ack, too many "more or less"'s.

Yeah, Teral. Thanks for the information. I just checked out IMDB before getting logged on, and Ms. Sagal did play Peg Bundy while she was a young 30. Perhaps the age of said character, as well as the purposefully unflattering make-up job they did to her to play Peg Bundy made her seem *a lot* older than she was.    I never really watched Married...with Children except in syndication, and I completely forgot when it was produced. Short form, I can't tell people's ages anymore. Sorry for the incovience.        :)

Terrestrial (most common) TV in Britain hasn't, I don't think, shown MwC for years - but it's shown every day on Paramount Comedy Channel. Don't suppose you can get that in Finland though  :hmpf:

TV3 and TV3+ airs MwC almost every day here, they just started a new run a week or so ago. It's a pan-Scandinavian broadcast company, but I'm not sure whether it covers Finland. But the mothercompany (Kinnevik) is Swedish, so I guess anything is possible.

You are probably right, there is slight chance that national television would show MWC, but I don't think thay they are going to show it. You can always dream, buy satellite tv system or move in to Sveden. Jag mäste flytta till Sveden  :)

I still catch re-runs of MWC in WCIU, channel 26. I don't know if that's local or a nation-wide network, so other regions may not have it.
