ASSuming that the colours are not significantly changed, it's the combination of the green and the deep, dark purple that's throwing me.  Hence my earlier guess of Möbius Dick.

I hadn't been focusing on the shape until recently, but I've wracked my brain focusing on the colours and their relationship, without luck.

There's an ep that came to mind inspired by the colours, but I skimmed through it and didn't see anything close.  But I'll make it tomorrow's guess anyway

Prop Infinity came to mind as I was trying to mentally straighten out some of the distortion, and thought I saw columns that might have been tornadoes in the distance.  A quick scan of the ep didn't turn up a scene with a similar palette of colours that I could see, though the colours might have been altered to make fools of us all (I've done that).

The very beginning of Game of Tones has some of the colour mix, but not all, and the Jungle in Butterjunk Effect has a few, too.  The hints that the location has only been shown once in the series, and that there are no characters in the image rule out a lot of possibilities.
