As a bureaucrat, Hermes Conrad couldn't but appreciate the unnecessary redundancy of a man pushing a simple cart in rails with a drill that created the tunnels for the rails that enable the recursive process of moving the parts of the drilling machine in order to make more tunnels and rails for apparent motion without a meaning.
