I know there was a topic about this earlier, but it didn't provide the solution for me.  I have some episodes on my computer that I want to get a sound clip from.  In the other thread someone mentioned that windows sound recorder had a function where one could capture sound that your computer was making.  However, I scoured the program and found no such feature.  Is there another program or way I could get a sound clip from an episode?

I really want to get a clip of Bender yelling "Shut the hell up!" from "Fry and the Slurm Factory".  I want to keep a shortcut to it on my desktop so I can play it when certain people start getting on my nerves.  =D

I'm reviving this thread because I eventually found out how to do it, and other people might find it useful.  Open sound recorder, and goto Edit->Audio Properties->Recorder Volume and check the "Stereo Mix" or mixer, sometimes it's called different things.  Then goto File->Properties->Convert Now, then select CD quality.  Start recording, play the episode, and sound recorder should be recording it.

Or you could just open the divx file in Virtual Dub, save the audio track to a separate .wav file and then just use you favourite sound editor to work on it from there.
