This would be a good thing to win, maybe FOX have some form of dust in there that can realise this is worth it...

Yeah I can tell you right now that Roswell is better than the South Park and Simpsons episodes, because I've watched them.  Also, there's no way any KOTH could be better than Roswell.  If the emmy people have their heads screwed on straight, Futurama might have a chance.

The Simpsons will win. Emmy voters are the laziest, most uninspired voters there are.

Not to mention Godfellas is a much better episode for Emmy award winning purposes.  Just like last year, Luck of the Fryrish was a better episode for the Emmies (and overall) than Amazon Women.  Lisa the PC goddess, or whatever that Buddhist episode was called will win, because it actually deals with some serious issues, and also for the reasons Kryten mentioned.

Zed's getting bored of Futurama still being screwed at every possible angle by inferior shows/human beings

I've been predicting The Simpsons to lose for a while now, and I'm always wrong. But this time, I swear, I can feel it!

She of Little Faith was a terrible episode, and I can't imagine anyone thinking it's funny or interesting on any level. I don't think it'll win. I'd love to see Roswell win, but Hollywood is stupid. It'll probably go to South Park or something.

Hmm well it is recogntion I suppose. One thing I want to know is why they have to have so many catagories doesn't that trivialse the achivement of getting the award.

Yeah, a show could feel insulted by knowing they only won an award to fill up some space.
Regardless of whether it wins , Futurama will get the credit it deserves.

Alright, go Futurama. Roswell was an extremely good episode, probably the funniest of season 4, certianly in my top-10.

I have no idea, how bad (or good?) those other nominations was, but I think Roswell have a very good chance. Unless Kryten's theory is correct, then Simpson will win.

And if Futurama wins, FOX' reaction: "We've always felt it's an incredible good show, and we're proud to have it on our network. And Futurama fans should be glad to know that we have more than 20 episodes rotting in our basement, so this awardwinning show will return with all-new episodes sometime around Christmas. And if all goes well, we'll be able to make new episodes in 2 years time."

Good luck Futurama! You deserve this award.

Indeed.  Here's hoping that the Emmy's will turn-around Futurama's fortunes as far as Fox are concerned.

The Buddhist episode of The Simpsons (along with almost every other Lisa-centric episode) was pretty poor.

Roswell should win.  I haven't seen the KOTH ep, and South Park hasn't been that good for ages.

Yeah, like Godfellas or Love & Rocket, Where no fan has gone before... But above all I think "A Roswell that ends well" is the 4th season best episode. The only 4th season episodes I don't really like are "A tale of two Santas" and "A pharaoh to rembember"

Good news everone indeed.
even though i fear that Kryten may have a point, i still hope that by some strange twist of fate, the voters will get a sudden burst of intelligence or whatever and vote for the right thing.

OR we could kidnapp the voters families and threaten to return them piece by bloody ripped off piece, unless they vote for Futurama.

Mwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hah

Any way back on topic (since I'm guilty of leading stuff off topic on a few occasions) I thought "Roswell" was a classic episode though I prefered "Love and Rocket" for obvious shipper reasons  big grin

I think Roswell has what it takes - good story line, clever, witty, great one-liners, stunning effects. A great alround episode. One definitely worth the Emmy.

That is why it should- and also why it isn't- going to win an Emmy.  roll eyes  mad

I doubt Futurama will win the emmy (the simpsons will probably get it) but maybe this will force Fox to give it a chance because of the nomination (of course it would be way better if futurama actually won the award).

It's a toss-up between WNFHGB, and Roswell.  I think Roswell's good enough to get it.

In related news, FOX congratulates Futurama for the Emmy nomination on their website, and still the official Futurama website is utter shit.

How about adding some content to that site FOX? It's only been 9 months, for crying out loud!! And while your at it, a better timeslot would mean a hell of a lot more for Futurama than your hollow, insincere congratulatory remarks.

Or maybe it's meant as an insult.

Don't confuse not caring with not knowing!

WNFHGB is a very specialized episode, and you'll be hard pressed to appreciate it fully if you dont know any star trek to begin with. However, if you DO know alot of star trek (the classics) then its really good!

id just like to add that i didnt actually find that episode as excellent as everyone says it was. i think it was good, but not excellent. RTEW is better i thinks...
