That reminds me... this guy: resembles professor. Floyd, anyone? Well probably not, but it's something I was thinking, when i saw him.

Hm, I don't think that'll be floyd...

Isn't Floyd meant to be older than the Professor? And apparently on the commentary for "Near-Death Wish" they said that if they were going to bring Floyd into the show, it'd only be if they were renewed.

Countdown to Futurama: Fry in Tuxedo and Leela in Wedding Gown
We are just two days away from Wednesday’ big one-hour season premiere of Futurama, and today we have a couple bombshell images from the upcoming episode “Meanwhile.”
This has to be pretty hard to look at for anyone who always hoped to see Leela end up with Nibbler.

THEY REUSED OUTFITS FOR THE WEDDING?! I so hoped there would be much prettier outfits for leela... Fry's is nice however, always liked that outfit^^

It says on Leela's that the outfit has been reused from 0314, which I'm assuming is 3ACV14 - "Time Keeps on Slippin'".
But Fry's says 0720 - 7ACV20 - "Calculon 2.0"?! Interesting. Well, not too interesting, we've seen him wear a tux many times before.

So I guess I'm the only person who actually kind of digs the wedding attire's nod to continuity? Very well then.
Edit: I guess Boxy's in agreement with me, too. Neat.

Yeah, continuity maybe, but even the one in 'Leela's Homeworld' was better if you ask me...

I think it's nice continuity. And Eternium, Fry's tux in "My Three Suns" is too black to match up with the new one. A sane woman won't wear the same wedding dress again.
Maybe it's some kind of mutant tradition to wear the exact same dress for the particular man you're marrying.

That's what I tought at first, but if you look at that promo image it states 'the three suns' under the top... the bowtie and all seem to match tough

Yet it also mentions 7ACV20, so it must have been reused a lot. Also, my guess on the twist in "Fry and Leela's Big Fling": Fry and Leela's vacation resort is actually Simian 7, the monkey-inhabited planet that the rest of the crew go to.

I just assumed there'd be a twist because of this: Tune in to see the stunning conclusion, and well to see Amy in a marmoset costume. "Stunning" suggests it'll blow you away, aka a twist.

It's that clip from "Fry and Leela's Big Fling" but in better quality, right here.

Yes, Futurama Is Really Cancelled. Showrunner David X. Cohen talks about it. So what’s next?
Well, we still have our season coming on. I’m in kind of a tricky position where I have to tell people, "We’re canceled, and we’re on the air!" Matt Groening believes it’s our best season ever. That’s what’s immediately next for this year. Then the rioting starts. I don’t endorse violence, so I’m asking for padded rocks. With all the hoopla over alternative distribution, are you going, “Hey Netflix, how ’bout us?” We’re talking a little bit behind the scenes about it. Everybody’s said, “Well, let’s take a break first.” When we got picked up by Comedy Central, we had to take a broadcast show and somehow produce something that was better quality at less cost, and a lot of the cost came from cutting our writing staff. I think we’re all happy to take a couple of months now. It’s amazing how many different lives the show has had. Everything’s possible. That’s the summary of what the media landscape is right now—if you want to do something weird, you can do it yourself and put it on the Internet. There are a million options that weren’t there when the show started in 1999. We’ve explored two of them: moving a fairly high-budget show to cable and direct-to-DVD. There are no discussions going on at the moment, though.

And since it originally came from a wedding that she never technically authorised
I think she did, but she just doesn't have any memories from period of time she did. In other news, petition has been signed over 20 000 times. Lots of them seem to come from Russia at the moment.

I feel bad for doubting Mike Rowe, perhaps this season will alter my thoughts on his potential?
Well 2D still features a Leela plot. And if one character in Futurama has proven it's ability to effectively drag a plot down....
