Quote from: Gorky
Even if they aren't actually registered, they are at least aware of PEEL's existence. I'm sure they pop in here from time to time to see how we feel about recently-aired episodes and the like.

I will admit that it is one of my biggest goals in life* to one day have the producers mention one of my episode reviews in a commentary, be it a negative review (like the one they discuss in the "That's Lobstertainment!" commentary) or a positive one (like those they quote in the "Jurassic Bark" commentary). I don't need them to mention me by name or anything--just quote my vitriol or praise, as the case may be. Man, would I get a kick out of that.

*Yes, I have very shallow life-goals.
Funny you should day that, because I think that sort of happened to me. During the commentary for "The Six Million Dollar Mon" somebody mentions how a lot of reviews for Ken's episodes begin with "Ken Keeler has done it again."

The reviews I posted for said episode on PEEL and CGEF both begin with that exact phrase, and they're both one of the first reviews on their respective websites. :O_o:.

I can relate, since several Keeler episode reviews from me begin with that phrase as well. I think they spend more time seeing what fans think online than they let on, but be it risk of copyright or they just don't want us getting too arrogant, they don't let on.

I thought the same thing when I heard that commentary.

I like to think that people involved with Futurama pay some degree of attention to this board. We're generally pretty organized topic-wise and make an effort to keep out the trolls and flame wars. That's got to be helpful to creators who want to know what fans think about the show without digging through TOO many piles of crap.

Also, there's not that many Futurama fan-forums. PEEL, futuramaff.com and futurama-madhouse are the only ones I know about.

Tomorrow we will be the first of February. This date marks the day i'm offically worried about the show's future. Renew them, CC ! If you read this.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Futurama staff check out this site

I can't let there just be positive comments about the show on this site. I can't just do that. Futurama, I don't give a fuck about you anymore. Fry is the only reason why I still watch the show. cancel Futurama if the staff members are gonna be little bitches & deceive us or give me what I want while you still can give it to me

Yeah, anything new yet?

No news, at this point, is bad news. Already February and no decision. One of us should contact Comedy Central via e-mail and ask what's going on. We probably won't get anything back other than "I'm just the administrator to the website. How the hell am I supposed to know?", but it is worth a shot.

Maybe fans need to organize some kind of campaign to Comedy Central (if that's even the right channel).

I can't provide much news since we're already behind with seasons... But cc nl seems to have no problem with futurama watchers on their channel. The whole site is loaded with futurama stuff.... And this inage which I'm not sure what to think about, a leela toilet something

Oh yes, you mean the wall of a bathroom stall painted to look like Leela and the economy-sized toilet paper to serve as her eye. Both cool and creepy.

Leela's watching you as you pee.

Whenever I visit the Comedy Central homepage, it feels like, to me, that Futurama isn't featured too much when it isn't in-season. I would think by March or April it'll be featured on the top of its lists of programs. Still worried, though. Especially now that Eric Rogers has taken up writing for... urggh... Brickleberry.

Yay! My first futurama dvd will arive tomorrow:D the collected epics. I'm trying to collect all of the seasons on dvd(blue ray is a bit expensive for me), but that will take a while since they're only for sale on marktplaats(dutch version of ebay). Or they are is german:(

SPAM TWITTER! Or, start a petition or something. I think that's more reasonable.

Petitions, as far as media goes, seem rather ineffective. I would spam twitter, but A) I don't have a twitter (I should set up one though), and B) who would you spam? I wouldn't inundate Eric Rogers or Miss Lauren Tom with senseless tweets- they have no say on Futurama's renewal. Does Comedy Central have its own twitter?

Somebody needs to update me on the correct terminology for Twitter. Tweets, twitter, twitter feed... I'm lost. (None of you have to go out of your way to, it's just an expression. I should look up the information myself)

Wow, long time to no comment here, but I’ve seeing this thread almost everyday and well I have some stuff on mind:

I’m glad that we’re having the list of 7B (at least the titles) and the fact that “Saturday Morning Pit” isn’t the last episode makes me smile, because is the only thing that excites me about the new season, the rest of the tiny news about the newest season, personally I don’t like them. But oh well I need more information before say if this season is gonna be a mess.

I mean, Seymour will be back? I know Jurassic Bark is a really good episode (very touching ,even if I don’t like dogs) and he had a nice fate in BBS but I don’t know, is better don’t touch classics for avoid problems with continuity. But again we don’t have more info about it ,only that “Seymour will appear again sometime”

Now, the “Bender steals Fry’s kidney and Leela eats it” ok…read that sentence scared me (poor Fry he deserves more love…) but again I don’t know in what context that is happening, so I can’t say anything (I’m neutral…and that disgusts me, ok bad joke) but kinda annoys me the fact they are giving us more complex ideas about references to another movies than something new. I know Futurama has done that before! But sometimes “simpler is better” (that’s why I loved 6B,they showed like simple ideas and development was really neat like in “Law and Oracle” and “Mobius Dick”).

About season 8, don’t worry pals,we have time until march (season 7 was announced in march) ,anyways if someone can ask to CC people, well that would be good! Anyways I think that Futurama stills being a good product and gives money to CC. I mean the DVDs of season 7A had good sales, even in my country (yup, I was amazed to see 7A in a store ,here in Mexico, I normally have to wait like 3 months for get it…now I only had to wait 3 weeks after USA’s release) and will be aired soon on TV (I don’t know when yet…but yup we get the DVD all in English).

By the way, if we aren’t getting a season 8,that ok! Is better because Futurama can end in good moment with good plots…or I have to remind everyone The Simpsons? That show is dead since looong time ago.

Anyways that is my opinion! I really expect more news, good news and please don’t fight. Relaaaax Futurama is just a show and is supposed to be fun!

PS.I’m sorry for the bad English.

I reckon there should be a Season 8, or another "movie" after 7B is released (in which by that time I will have downloaded it and be on my way, muahahaha!). It'd give it more, oh I don't know, attention? Not that it doesn't have enough attention atm, at least not that I know about. But for some of us fans an extra season and/or movie could hit the spot. Imo, I reckon the latest 2 seasons are better than the previous 5. Comedy-wise. I put a lot more laughs into these seasons, and would like to see how 7B turns around.

I wonder if Bender taking Fry's kidney has anything to do with his continued desire to be a chef. Maybe he entered a Hannibal Lector-sponsored cook-off. Pure conjecture, but I'm wondering how else a stolen kidney would wind up on Leela's plate.

Wasn't Seymour last spotted on a shelf in the Professor's lab? I feel like I saw him in the background somewhere during the most recent season.

So yeah, Futurama. I'm really looking forward this this next half season, there's real potential in the proposed plots we have heard so far...

I'm interested to see how they handle revealing a little more of Leela and Munda's mutant back story in "Leela and the Genestalk" and I'm super pumped for the time skipping episode. Should be a lot of fun.

Until Futurella is renewed... I'm going with the sad Zoidberg avatar... with the wrong color eyes.

It was announced on January 31st that Steve Callaghan is the new showrunner of American Dad! if renewed.

Could Futurama see a show runner shake up if renewed?!?!?

...who  the heck is Steve Callaghan?

Edit: never mind, I just checked the wiki link. It looks like there's no source. I don't believe it. He was just announced as American Dad's show runner, why would they put him in charge of Futurama as well despite never having worked on it. Is this just some kind of joke that I am not getting?

Also, good for Mike Rowe. Bobs Burgers is starting to grow on me, and I've always liked Mike Rowe's Futurama episodes. (Except for that one bad episode. You know the one I mean.) I think that will be a good fit.

I REALLY hope that ending didn't kill Fry, let it be tomato sauce, please! I don't want him to end up as Glagnars human rinds :nono:

As for the clips themselves: For me, they sparked a polite interest so far, but nothing that really made me go "YAY! GOTTA SEE THAT!".
But to those who got a better impression out of that clip: Happy "looking forward to", or however you can call that ;)
