Has anyone else ever cried during one or more Futurama episodes, or am I the only one?

Aww, no. My mom and I watched Jurassic Bark back when it aired during the original run and we both cried. My mom's a big dog lover and I was a hormonal teenager. It's still a good one, though. The end of Luck of the Fryrish elicited an upwelling of tears the first time I saw it, mostly because it corresponded with a time when I missed my younger sister a lot.

Jurassic Bark probably made me cry/tear up the first few times, but now it just makes me super sad.

I always get really emotional at the end of The Luck of the Fryrish and the end of Bender's Big Score when we see

Cold Warriors and Lethal Inspection are kind of touching, but not enough to bring tears.

Yes, you are.  I never have.  Except for The Sting, Jurassic Bark, etc...

I always get really depressed during the endings of I Dated a Robot and A Flight to Remember.  Haven't cried, but came very close a few times, even after repeated watchings.  Poor Countess.  Poor Liubot.

The other moments that tug on the heartstrings are when Fry's macaroni picture changes to show him crying.  Just want to give the poor guy a hug.  Or get plastic surgery to look like Leela and date him.

I only watched Jurassic bark once and cried my eyes out, it doesn't matter that they made up for it during Benders Big Score I still cant watch that episode. I also cried (usually every time) I watch Parasites Lost at the end where Fry say "ya at least I know Leela's a lost cause" and then he practicing the holophoner and a primitive  image of Leela comes up and Fry smiles. Also During Amazon Women in the mood where Kif hangs up on Amy then says "I love you", finally during the sting where Leela is freaking out and Fry just wants her to wake up. I guess for me I think that's love, I wonder if my husband feels that way about me.

sometimes i feel like crying but not 'cause of an emotional moment such as the endings of "Jurassic Bark" or "The Luck of the Fryrish". usually 'cause i'm angry. it's brutal. "A Farewell to Arms" makes me feel like crying every time i think about it 'cause of all the stuff i didn't like about the episode. that's why i ignore the Futurama staff's version of the show. screw them. i'm sick of their lies. Fry ruining his clothes just to impress a girl he doesn't even love, all the Fry & Leela romance pretenses, & the ending really make me mad & depressed. i wish that episode was never made. that's how emotional i get & it's all Futurama's fault. that episode ruined my life. i went through hell. i wish i could remove the negativity from my mind

If disliking an episode is enough to ruin your life, then you must have a seriously unhealthy obsession.

i wouldn't say obsessed. don't get obsessed. watching "The Bots and the Bees" & "A Farewell to Arms" was 1 of the worst days of my life. at least there's some stuff i like about the episodes so they aren't completely depressing

Unmentionable there are people literally starving to death in this world and young children forced to fight in wars, and here you are saying your life is ruined over something happening in a cartoon? (And if you say well fuck them my problems are worse, then you must be a Internet Troll)

I bet you won't even read this far, but in your slashfanfiction parallel universes Fry is gay. But unlike, in the show itself and many other fanfiction Fry is not gay.

You are just one person (that I presume has no real power) empty threats towards the staff of Futurama.

And if these threats aren't empty and you intend to go on a murderous rampage at Comic Con and kill Futurama fans and the writers over your obsession of Fry, you can look forward to spending your whole life in jail.

There are only a few episodes/films in my life that made me tear up. Futurama is one of them. I guess it's because I can somewhat relate to some of the things happening.

In the case of Jurassic Bark, I felt down at the ending because i'm one of those crazy guy that almost cry when an animal dies in a film. (Especially a dog !)

That poor animal ! All he had is Fry ! That's what makes it so sad for me. His friend was all his life.

While it certainly wasn't funny, I am kind of glad they did it anyway. Traveling a thousand years in the future couldn't possibly be without any bad consequences for Philip. This, for me, is what made the story more real, more grounded. It ain't a show where all is well and pink, and that's for the best.

However, I'd be lying if I didn't like happy-endings.

One of those "who cut an onion ?" moment was in Bender's big score. I love that movie, mainly because I'm a fervent shipper and time travel had a big presence, but because of Fry's struggle with Lars and Leela. Seeing a complete stranger get along so well with her kinda broke my heart and I felt bad for Fry.

I remember I felt silly being so emotive with a cartoon.

Anyway, when he gives up all hope, get back to the past and painfully tries to forgive her, that's when it hit me. I could relate with that a bit too much. I closed the door to make sure no one would see me and my red, watery eyes over this !

There's a couple other occasions where I wasn't teared up, but I seriously had this sadness lump in the throat. Like the end of luck of the fryish, and also with the flashback of Fry senior and junior.

In conclusion, I don't think a show made me feel so emotive as much as Futurama. That's what I love so much about it. One episode is hilarious, the other has interesting sci-fi stuff, and others are beautiful, sad or happy.

Cold Warriors and Leela's Homeworld are kind of bittersweet; and some find Lethal Inspection sad. Eric Rogers also says a super sad episode is coming up in 7B.

2. Luck of the Fryish

Fryrish. :p

Leela's homeworld. I think this episode can make manly tears(and lots of other episodes like Jurassic Bark...).
As a man, I especialy cried in the end of Leela's homeworld episode. (Also my favourite character is Leela (also Fry and Bender etc... :) ).

Never cried at any of those, they're only sad if you're a sap I guess. :laff: TLPJF kind of makes me like "Awwh man... :(" I guess.

The only time I got kind of upset about something involving Fry and Leela's relationship is

Thanks you guys for giving me a list of cryable episodes and bittersweet episodes. I wrote them down and cannot wait to watch them.

I only have seasons 1-4 and the movies and 13 episodes of season 5. Do these episodes you mentioned are they all on season 1-5  or are some of them on seasons 6-7? Thanks

Also will there ever be a 8th season? Thanks again

All except TLPJF. And I agree with your spoiler Danny, but the first time I saw BBS I only saw half o it(due to all the buffering back then) so the second time I really watched it it wasn't a suprise anymore:(

We honestly don't kow yet, there will be a season 7B tough :)

I always cry at the end of Jurassic Bark, Leela's Homeworld, and the Sting. I also get a bit misty-eyed in The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings when the crude images of Fry and Leela kiss, just because I find it so sweet and adorable, and then again in The Late Philip J. Fry when Leela gets Fry's card as an old lady. It just really gets to me, seeing Leela old and grey, having spent most of her life simultaneously pining for and being angry at Fry, and then finally seeing the truth behind what happened to him.

I always feel kind of heartless when people talk about Luck of the Fryrish because for some reason it's never really touched me or made me cry at all. I've watched it many times trying to see what people love so much about it, but it's just never been a favorite of mine. The ending just seemed so sudden to me and without much build-up.

they are not lies. They cannot be lies, as the only version of futurama is the version that is written by the writers. I respect your opinions, but the fact is the 'lies' the staff are writing are the canon show.

The first time I saw it, "Jurassic Bark" made me cry. But then, like anything that you're exposed to frequently, anytime afterwards, the waterworks didn't happen. Though the ending always made me sad.

If we're talking about most touching, then some standouts for me are "The Sting", "Lethal Inspection", and TKoS. And the Fry/Lars/Leela love triangle of BBS (but Nudar and his ilk annoyed me for much of the movie, so I wouldn't consider the entire thing as touching).

"The Sting", "Leela's Homeworld", "The Devil's Hands" and "Time Keeps On Slippin'" are my tearjerkers from the original run. "Jurassic Bark" somewhat did work for me, but I think it's largely because of the ending song. I don't care much about dogs, really. I love cats :).

And "The Luck of the Fryrish" would be that episode.

But quite a few have choked me up... even new episodes like "Cold Warriors" and "Lethal Inspections" endings.
