I think the last episode of South Park on the air was where Kenny was using some video game thing to fight the hordes of Hell. It was some Terry Schiavo parody, I believe.

You mean the last episode you saw?

Yeah, and that was probably about 6 years ago when I was finishing up college.

Woah. Random fact: that episode originally aired in 2005.

AllEggs, this is the movie I'm talking about:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frequency_(film)

It has Jim Carvaziel and Dennis Quaid in it, so it might be worth a view for that reason alone. :)

I would like a mindfuck episode, along the lines ofMemento or Mulholland Falls. Something thought-provoking like that, and incredibly bizarre.

Well if I put something like that I figured someone would be all like "Offtopic/spam/no one cares." :hmpf:

It's still offtopic spam that nobody cares about, Danny. I'm fairly sure that this thread is supposed to be about what people want from the next season of Futurama. Seriously, shut up about it. Please, take it to PM if you want to continue that particular discussion.

I want to see more Farnsworth inventions, dammit. Bizarre and ultimately pointless gadgets that operate on the fringes of known science to probe questions that man was not meant to ask!

In response to the thread title:

Something good would be nice :laff:

Also more planet deliveries. Humor that is derived from something other than politics or current events (ie. The Simpsons).

Also I revised the poll a little bit. It seems like a poll better suited for having up to 3 options to vote for, as opposed to one. I marked the "allow users to change vote" box as well in case you already voted and want to vote for 2 others.

2nd edit: I just saw page one. Looks like you guys were way ahead of me in regards to the poll :laff: But at least we're all on the same page! :D

futurefreak, you don't like any episodes in the new run at all? Not even a teensy tiny bit of a morsel?

I can't comment on the ones in August, as I've yet to see them (bad mod! I will in a week or so though) - but up until that point, the only one I fancied was Zapp Dingbat. Even that wasn't 100% I think I gave it a 9/10. There were some whose plots I didn't mind, like A Farewell to Arms, but they had to sell out at the end with a stupid mutilation ending  Nothing gets futurefreak madder than destroying body parts off characters because ohmygod, it's like the future, and look they're back to normal because it's the future!!! :nono:

I'm surprised they haven't yet integrated one or more of the members of Talking Heads (an American pop-rock band from the 1980s) into an episode. They got the Beastie Boys and Devo, so why not Talking Heads?

Maybe they think the joke's too obvious, but I would love to see that. "Life During Wartime" is an unbelievably catchy song, and it could play a really cool role in an episode because of its lyrics.

I want deliveries and inventions. I want epic scifi plots and jokes with fry asking if the milk smells odd.

Teleporting would be cool idea.

Or maybe the PE crew will be able to test a prototype teleporter made by the professor. But it has some issues, causing the crew to appear in different parts of the universe, instead of where they want to go? That could be a possible episode.

I just figured that the novelty transporter was a short range device only, and that the scientists in that time hadn't figured out how to transport someone down the block, let alone to another city or planet.

There's lots of reasons why Neutopia shouldn't exist.
(Though in its defense, I thought it was a fairly decent joke.)

You can't choose where you want to send something with the disintegrator ray either, it's randomised.
