If you insist on trying to correct every common spelling error in the ontopic forums, you'll end up butting heads with brick walls before too long.
I appreciate the warning; let me point out that I don't insist on trying to correct every common error; this was a special case. As implicitly acknowledged by his/her reply, Boxy has made this mistake both often and consistently. (That is, as a search will show, (s)he used "defiantly" on several occasions and never -- or almost never; I can't recall -- used "definitely".) Moreover, (s)he took the correction graciously. So pointing out the error seems to have gone as well as it possibly could have, and no brick walls were harmed. Enough offtopic, I hope. Thank you for your attention.

Damn........Surprised this wasn't nominated for an Emmy. But then again, I'm not so surprised, since the Neanderthal parts were a teeny bit cheesy. But then again, it did lead us to an ending kiss that's probably nailed into the show's wall of fame. Still, I wonder how the hell BOBS BURGERS got nominated.

Still, I wonder how the hell BOBS BURGERS got nominated. Yeah, something about Bob's Burgers annoys me. It couldn't possibly be the crappy animation, or unfunny jokes. Hmmm... I wonder what it is 😕

It's better than Family Guy and some of the New Simpsons. I watched the whole first season of Bob's Burgers when it premiered on FOX in 2011. I just didn't like it.
It wasn't anything about the animation, it actually kinda fits for the show. But the jokes were just bland for me. The concepts and plots the story does just don't click. It's always going to involve Bob losing business somehow, or him being competitive with somebody. I mean don't we already see stuff like that in "American Dad"? The kids are just plain annoying. They really do not have any characteristics. It's like they're just there to try and bring a cheap laugh.
I don't hate the show. Just saying, I would LOVE to know how it got nominated for an Emmy, while a great Futurama ep is out in the dust. I'm happy that its getting some recognition. But still. It beat Fun on a Bun? That's unpossible!

I've watched a few episodes outside of Season 1. One of which involving Bob play this video game, and Bob's Burgers in competition with this other guy's restaurant. It seems like every episode involves Bob either;
A: Being in Competition with Somebody
B: Losing business at his restaurant.
It's always that same kind of plot. I mean if it's entertaining for you guys, then that's great. But it's just not appealing to me.

I recently got around to rewatching this. And I gotta say, I forgot how much I loved this episode! Jeez. where to even begin? I loved the drunken Fry parts. Too funny. I didn't exactly mind the Jersey Shore reference. The show always craps on Jersey. And the ending was really great. This had a spark I haven't seen in any Futurama episode. Ever. Kinda similar to the one The Late Phillip J. Fry gave me when I first watched it though. But this one just came, out of nowhere, out of the infamous world of reruns. Like I don't think I ever liked the episode as much as I do now. I think I'll keep my original rating of a 10/10 for this episode. It was Fun on a Bun, and lives up to the catch phrase. It definitely resides as one of my top 10 episodes. I still don't see why it wasn't nominated for an Emmy, while the mediocre South Park episode was.

To my understanding, the producers have to pick one episode from their run that year for Emmy submission. Was this even the episode they submitted?
Though yeah, very bizarre that Matt and Trey picked Raising the Bar. There were much better (and much more poignant) episodes that were eligible for consideration. I'd have gone with A Scause for Applause.

Ziplining would've fallen into the 2012 submissions though, it aired in the first half of season 16.

As a Freela shipper, this episode is definitely a win! Fry's line "We were going out?!?" made me laugh so hard. I'm glad the writers joked about that aspect of Fry and Leela's relationship. The 360 degree kiss and Leela's memories of Fry coming back are really shippy moments for me. Bender trying to get 1st place for best sausage was hilarious. Hermes and the sloth were pretty funny too. Plus The Flintstones reference in the end. I was surprised when Fry let Leela embarrass him for once by doing the chicken dance. I thought that was unexpected and sweet.
