Who buys DVDs just for the deleted scenes? Seems a bit silly.

depending on what's included, perverts like me. i don't care about people buying the DVD but it makes me think 'are you serious?'

Well... if you only cared about deleted scenes, wouldn't it be much more practical to just watch them on YouTube? Unless you're super-rich, of course.

I buy the DVD's for a couple of reasons.

One would be the commentary another would be I like to fall asleep with some back ground noise.  I have a DVD player right next to my head when I sleep.  I am constantly watching/listening to shows while I sleep.

I love the play all option and when all episodes play I usually wake up and hit play again and go right back to sleep.

I buy dvds because they don't show the episodes in order on the tv (or at least, they don't seem to), plus I can't not buy Futurama dvds now, cause I've got all the others.

Plus, I love the commentaries. <3

Are they still working on 7B or...? This was tweeted by Lauren Tom two hours ago...

"Hey #Futurama fans. I'm on my way to work on Futurama. Do U have any questions U want me to ask our co-creator David X. Cohen? xo, Lauren"

*edit*

Nevermind, she confirmed she's just going in to do ADR... BUT, GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

"#Futurama @slurmed There's going to be a Nibllonian episode, and an Epic Fry and Leela episode, but the two are not necessarily related!"

Futurama's two biggest themes. Excellent. I think the writers know that these episodes will be very important to the diehard fans. These will be great episodes. The theme with Fry being the "Mighty One" and Leela being the "Other" is one of the coolest parts of Futurama and if these episodes are hits, it will continue the storyline that gives Futurama a subtle but important depth, something a lot of other sitcoms don't have.

I'd love to see a long series finale episode that ties up the ends of both of these themes. One last flash of brilliance before the show takes up its place in the history books.

Some people have opinions.  Why?  Nobody is very clear how to answer that question.

Society was actually a dare perpetuated by monkeys who learned to put dirt on their faces.  Camoflauged in small desert temples, they convened at a council one day to see who would have the opinion most of all.  The king at the time, known as pharaoh supreme kai descended the wooden house and challenged all of the caesar's men to pronounce where the sky met the earth.  No one could know, and so this is how it came to be the domestication of animals: Man, the most dangerous one of all.

I just got the new Volume 7 set today in the US.

And wooaauuhhh, just heard on the commentary for "TBATB" that Ben may in fact reappear if another production season is ordered!
And the baby URL was supposed to say: "Oh, waahhh."

Update: the alternate ending to Zapp Dingbat is an insanely cheesy musical piece!

Will do, as I'm going to try to watch them all today with commentary on.
Very busy XMAS shopping today but I've just got into the other commentaries right now as I type.

And I have to say.. I'm enjoying this season even more now.
It's actually an underrated gem in my opinion with only one lame episode in the whole set.

I will tell you about it later when I get to it.
Update: Odd I see no BD live features on either disc.

Also if you enjoyed Zoidberg's dumpster scenes in 7ACV12, then you'll love 7ACV25.. the dumpster sounds pivotal in some way.
Enough so that they make a joke about it getting it's own toy.

Also Calculon's grave was taken out of a shot in 7ACV07 b/c of an contitunity issue with his grave in "Calculon 2.0" so the name on the stone was changed to Roomba.

7ACV25? That's the canon-finale! Perhaps Zoidberg builds the button that can rewind time by 10 seconds using the Professor's thrown out inventions? :o

Yeah, maybe the button only gets involved in part 2? Part 1 could set up some big events that need to be altered.

Confused? I have more:
Quote
CraveOnline: Getting Fry and Leila together did not hurt the comedy at all, did it?

David X. Cohen: Which episode specifically? Some yes, some no. “Fun on a Bun?”

CraveOnline: That’s interesting. Which episodes did you think it did hurt?

David X. Cohen: None of them hurt but they’re always controversial, let me put it that way, when we snoop online and check fan reactions, it’s kind of split down the middle. Whenever we do a Fry/Leila big romance story, 50% say, “Finally, back to Fry and Leila, the heart of the show” and the other 50% say, “Where’s my sci-fi?” It’s not really on a one episode yes, one episode no basis, but each episode is polarizing.

CraveOnline: I would certainly be disappointed if you went back on it at this point.

David X. Cohen: No, we’re going forward. In fact, I know we’re supposed to be talking about this DVD set but looking ahead to summer 2013, we’ve got a big epic Fry/Leila episode as number 726. It could be the last episode ever, as usual, so we’re going for it.
"Big epic Fry/Leela story" is an episode 7ACV26? I thought it should be a non-canon episode "Saturday Morning Fun Pit"...

Maybe they could explain a new form of time travel by explaining the existence of some technology in the future to us in a new way.  I'm thinking maybe the heads in jars, because if you think about it, how in the world were they able to create heads in jars of people that were already dead a long long time ago?  Maybe the planet express crew learn the secret of dark matter and place heads in jars into the quantum reactor and can move the time universe around them!
