Allow me to elaborate  smile

What  would you LOVE to happen with the show and what would totally ruin the show for you? This is all hypothetically speaking, of course.

I'd love an epic two or more episode arc story one of these days. It could be used to properly address that notorious Nibbler line...

What would ruin the show for me would be the introduction of prominent child characters, like possible future Fry/Leela offspring. Dwight and Cubert are alright in small doses, and I'd like it to stay that way.   hmpf

I want another Brainspawn epic.  One where Fry and Leela have to work together with Nibbler to defeat them once and for all.

Best things to happen: (I have two)
  • Finally address the meaning of Leela being "the other" and showing Nibbler actually doing what he promised in helping to bring Fry and Leela together.
  • An episode that features Kif being revealed as in fact the real military hero in all of the exploits that Zapp has wrongly been recognized for and wrongly taken credit for.  Of course Zapp thinks it's all about the Zapper, but he's so full of himself that he was oblivious to reality.

Worst thing: (again, I have two)
  • Although I love the Fry/Leela relationship it would be disaster to have a wedding episode.  The finale episode could include an accepted proposal, but the marriage should be left to the imagination.
  • It would be a complete disaster to have a final episode where everything was revealed to be a dream (a la Dallas and Newhart), or even worse, that the series was simply a story being written by one of the characters (a la Roseanne).

* Unreal imagines the Professor staring into the what-if machine

The best thing would be for the show to remain consistently high-quality, and last for 10 seasons without a noticeable drop. Then it can rest in piece and end on a high note.

The worst thing would be if the show was milked to death and we had entire seasons of Neutopias, Yo Leela Leelas, and Holiday Spectaculars.

Another horrible thing would be having the show recast or the death of one of the voice actors.

Oh Lord!  That would be the sci-fi version of a dream!  If any of the writers dares to imagine for even a picosecond that this would please the fans they should be fired ... from a cannon, into the sun!

This is the worst.  Just the thought of that happening makes my eyes water.

Well, Katey Sagal is in Sons of Anarchy, which I'm addicted to, and John DiMaggio is in Adventure Time.

And... isn't Billy West the red M&M? I LOVE THAT THING DAMN IT!

Oh, my computer didn't load the emoticons on the page for some reason, probably because it's general belligerence. big grin

That's okay.  It gave you the opportunity to emphasize before the world your love for the red M&M  big grin

Worst (but also could be interesting): The entire show has been a dream, but it was Fry's dream through the 1000 years he was frozen. When he wakes up in 2999 for real, everything would be much, much different.

I'd like to see Zapp get a real comeuppance.   Seeing Kif punch Zapp's face in for being a creepy sexual predator was awesome.   I think it would be awesome if the world finally realized that Zapp takes credit for all of Kif's successes and blames him for everything that goes wrong (and is always Zapp's fault.)

We've already had Brannigan, Begin Again, but I think it would be great if Zapp's fall from grace stuck for a season or two, and he ends up becoming a pathetic Troy McClure type, wallowing in his glory days, inviting himself to speak at Bar Mitzvahs, trying to claw his way onto talk shoes, and generally failing to realize that this is exactly what he deserves.

Maybe he could gradually redeem himself through actual heroism, and eventually revert back to the pompous sociopath we all know and love.

I'd like to see more and more episodes based on scientific phenomena.
For example: the crew gets inside a big black hole (beyond horizon). They would get away, when professor saw a dream containing solution. --> time travel?

Worst thing to happen to Futurama could be episodes with big continuity problems, cutaway jokes and too many guest stars as themselves.

I would love to see a Futurama-self-parody.
(Let's face it..though Futurama claims to spoof certain tropes and cliches, they have come up with a lot of stuff to be ridiculed themselves big grin ).

Maybe something like "Wormhole Extreme" in Stargate. A TV station in Futurama trying to produce a series about Planet Express.
I think "Avatar - The Last Airbender" did something similar with a theater play.

I could see the Omicronians trying to do such a thing as a parody, once they saw a supposedly good scenario developing.
