A couple of exclusive videos from "The Bots and the Bees" and "A Farewell to Arms".

Those clips won't load for me for some reason. :(

Did you click on the little still on top of the article? That one leads to an "error page".
The two embedded clips still seem to work, though....

Nah, the embedded clips just weren't showing up at all, but they're working now.

I liked the second clip better, but maybe that's because I'm looking forward to A Farewell to Arms more than The Bots and the Bees (that said, I'm still looking forward to The Bots and the Bees since it has the potential to have one of those oh-so-enjoyable "emotional" episodes).

Yep, they do not load every time. Sometimes, the browser will have to be re-opened.

Those clips were great! It was so funny to see Bender roll the calendar like that. :laff: Did Zoidberg sound off to anyone else?

That fight scene was also hilarious! I just know that TBaTB is going to be a classic.

I laughed hard at the AFTA clip. Oh my lawd, this season looks amazing. :D

The snowy environment outside the ship looks clool in that image, wonder why Fry has the obvious chicken on his head?

Certainly. I'm so f*cking excited! Some of the plots are sounding great, too. And how can you not look forward to meeting Farnsworth's parents?

"This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for all the chickens!"

Glad to see Fry flying the ship, though he looks thoroughly bored even with a chicken on his head.

And how can you not look forward to meeting Farnsworth's parents?
Because they're old. :p

It would be terrible then if both the episodes turned out to be crap. Nah I'm just joking.

Damn 2 more days to go?! Feels like the countdown started last week.

Has anyone else noticed Bender seems to sound more "clunky" now? Like when he shakes his head in that clip for TBATB and in Overclockwise, there are probably more examples from recent episodes but that's what I thought of off the top of my head.

It's probably not intentional, but it definately gives Bender that outdated effect, which is nice. (As in a realistic and well-done-continuity way, not as in "He's getting old, nice." :p )

Also, just noticed this on CC's Tumblr page, for you US fans...

I laughed harder at that clip than any other preview.. it was just such a bizzare clip to be taken out of context from the episode... it couldn't have been better.

IGN Article about Season 7.

Quote from: David X. Cohen
We’re diving into it a little deeper this year. We’re not dealing with it in every episode -- we’re not a soap opera -- but there will be a couple times this summer where we’re going to have some really big Fry/Leela episodes culminating with the series finale next summer, which has a very epic Fry/Leela romance story that will take us on a journey through time and space.

FUCK YEAH.

Oh, plot of Fun on a Bun given away too:

And I couldn't agree more with John DiMaggio:

Quote from: John DiMaggio
People say, ‘Oh, it’s different than the last one!’ No, it only gets more streamlined. It gets better and better. Whoever says, ‘It’s not as good as it used to be,’ they don’t know what they’re talking about. They’re just looking for an argument to pick. They’re out of their minds. It’s the same writers. We have the same people. It’s just a great show.

Also:

Quote from: John DiMaggio
There’s an infinity of things that we can do with this show.

I have been saying this for years. It's pretty sad towards the end of the article actually, all the VAs genuinely love the show and would hate to see it go. :(

Must...not...click...spoiler. ..

I will say, though, that I'm glad the writers have come to their senses about how to handle the Fry/Leela thing. I would never want the show to be a soap opera, but there's something to be said for continuity in the characters' relationship. (And I concur with that "Fuck yeah," Danny; here's hoping next season's finale juggles the big sci-fi and the big romance a bit more deftly than "Overclockwise" did.)

Nice article.  The spoiler isn't really that bad, but definitely unexpected.  I am very, very happy with the amount of Zapp Brannigan we are getting this season.

For anybody who is concerned about how a robot can impregnate a soda machine, rest assured, there will be an educational film in the episode that will tell you a little bit about robot mating.
Yes.  More awesome narration!

Also, the teasing about a full length theatrical release is too much to bear.

Translation:
"We did the greatest show ever, and anyone disagreeing with us is just dumb/out of their mind/etc.."
Seems  DiMaggio demands an "Auto-like" on Futurama here.
It's still the audiences job and right to make up their own mind regarding a TV show.

Hoping I quoted that right..
I don't think I've posted in this thread before, but I just wanted to say I do agree with John DiMaggio. I might be biased because I only really got into the show last year and got to watch all the goodness of the new shows right after the older ones, but I genuinely don't see much difference aside from improved animation and stronger, more established characters.
Just IMO :D

Hein, you're out of your mind.  Source: John DiMaggio
:p

Moving on...  I find it highly amusing that even in big popular publications like IGN they are referring to the Fry and Leela ship so prominently and even using common nomenclature like 'Fry/Leela' with the slash in there.  We shall take over the wooorld! Muhahahaha!

EDIT:

You have a valuable perspective because you can look on the whole show without rosy, nostalgia tinted glasses.  Keep sharing!

You're welcome.  I am glad to be of service. :)

This part of the article is caught my attention:
Quote from: David X. Cohen
"Basically, the way we dealt with it this year was we added a month to the schedule. That way we got to pound our heads for one more month, and I think we did a good job, honestly. We’ve spent an extra day or so on each story just to make sure we were hitting some novel areas."
This is huge.  For the amount of crunch time they have producing all of these episodes at the same time, I predict having just one extra day to review and brainstorm each episode will make a noticeable difference in quality.

Ugh, is this really that big of a spoiler?  Whatever.

SGB, I would love a two part episode!  I've been wanting one of those for a long time and I think it would be a fresh take on the franchise.  Who knows?  They did say that they were trying some new things this season that they haven't done before.  Ooh, you know what would be evil?  If they made the 2-parter episodes 13 and 14, making us wait a year in between them.

I really hope they don't get married until there's an actual final season or if there's a theatrical release. I would love to go to a 200th episode...

Quote
Richard Nixon's head runs for a third term as president of Earth. Among the candidates running against him is Chris Travers, a senator from Hawaii. Leela becomes Travers' campaign manager. However, his campaign encounters difficulties when his opponents point out that his "Earth certificate" is missing.[3] Travers must win the election, as terrible events will occur in the event that Nixon wins. Bender will finally get to fulfill his wish to kill all humans, leading all robots in a revolt against humanity. This revolt will lead to a bleak future where the last remnants of humanity hide underground in fear.[4]

Upon re-looking the plot of Decision 3012, it's actually sounding pretty good. I know the clip was boring, but I have some hopes for this episode. It sounds like an 8/10, though. :laff:
