Just about every line of dialogue in that episode is pure gold.

So what are the lines of dialogue coming out of Universe 1 Bender's mouth? Pure gold x2? :p

They would be 40% gold!

Older eps are shown at varying times throughout the week and I have been slacking off on watching them.  My bad :(

Can't really say I have one fav ep, but there are a small group of them that I treasure.

I haven't seen the new season, so perhaps something from it would rank highly, but I think the episode I enjoy most is "Jurassic Bark." I remember watching it in high school with my mom during the show's original Fox run and we both cried during the final scene showing what really happened to Seymour. I think "Amazon Women in the Mood" is the funniest, though.

Probably, WNFHGB. I never get tired of it, and it's stuffed to gills with funnies. Oh, and I love TOS of Star Trek--that's prolly the biggest reason.

It changes from time to time but right now I'd have to say "War is the H-Word".

I think I might be the only thing ever that hasn't cried at that episode. It might not have helped that it was one of the first futurama episodes I ever saw, but I've never cried at  a film or TV show. Not sure why.

Eh, I tend not to cry at things I see on TV or in movies either, Snrub. (And I'm a dainty li'l female, which makes this lack of weepiness even weirder for me than it is for you. ;)) I will say, though, that there are some Futurama-related exceptions to this no-tears rule--namely, "Jurassic Bark" and "The Luck of the Fryrish."

I have only cried at "Jurassic Bark" once, and it wasn't even the first time I saw it. It was during some late-night showing on Adult Swim many moons ago, when I was maybe twelve years old, and I'm half-convinced my tears were the result of delirious exhaustion and not genuine sadness at Seymour's plight.

"The Luck of the Fryrish," meanwhile, has made me cry multiple times (though not every time I watch it)--and, at the very least, it always gives me a chill at the end when Yancy's with his son in the nursery and the camera pulls back to show that drawing Fry made of a rocket ship. It sounds silly typed out like that, but for some reason that moment just kills me.

On a slightly cheerier note:

Space Pilot 3000

I really love both the pilot and "The Series Has Landed," and think they're both quite underrated. I get that the first few episodes of any show are bound to be a little weird, what with acclimating us to this fictional universe and introducing us to its inhabitants--but, in Futurama's case, that weirdness works for me. I find it, I don't know, charming.

I personally enjoy "I, Roommate" much more than the first two episodes.

And if we're bringing up underrated episodes, then I'll just say that "The Cyber House Rules" is acceptable. Heck, it's more than acceptable. It's adequately satisfactory.

The Cyber House Rules is probably among the greatest Futurama has created. Shame no one sees it's godly power.  :nono:

Probably the two Robot Devil episodes, and the one with the Space Bees offhand.
Any episode that has Leela or Amy in a sexual light, certainly !
As for WORST episodes, the latest series must occupy most of the top 10.
All but two or three have been WORSE than abysmal

Same, I think they do very well story wise. But what really clinches it for me is the excellent singing and rhyming of the robot devil. Priceless  :laff:

I can't get myself to select a single favorite episode. I'm torn between the Pilot and the Sting, I think.

Space Pilot 3000 had a great effect on me. When I saw it not so long ago, I thought to myself : "why the hell didn't I watch this show before" ? It had such a great atmosphere, everything seemed fresh. This is the episode that introduced me the show, and everytime I see it, the jokes seem funnier, the characters feel even more charismatic...

And The sting was magnificient. Brilliant storyline !

Can't decide. Well... Space Pilot 3000. There, I said it.

War is the H word, Amazon Women in the Mood, Parasites Lost, Anthology of Interest 2, Teenage Mutant Leela Hurdles, Where no Fan Has Gone before, The Sting, The Farnsworth Parabox, and The Late Phillip J Fry. What can I say for the most part I'm a sucker for the love stories.

their fake love gets on my nerves & makes me want to puke

"Fry am the Egg Man" is my favorite. there's some parts i didn't like (Leela assaulting Fry with a pipe, Fry's heart attack, the robots chasing the delivery crew, Fry crashing into the tree, Bender blowing cigar smoke at Fry's face, Zoidberg trying to take the egg, Mr. Peppy cutting Fry, Zoidberg saying they should kill Fry & Mr. Peppy, Leela saying killing them would be a hassle, sheep murder, Mr. Peppy's corrosive ability) but i love Fry & his clothes. :) 'scaroused' is creative but i want Fry to stop lying about his sexuality. the smallest whisky drink at the bar is big. lol some quotes i think are funny:

"you're not my breakfast friends! what are you doing here?"
"should we turn on the tv?" "nah."
"don't peck at me!"
"No!" "NO ~ !" "YES ~ !"
"i'm thinking of wearing this."

The Luck of the Fryrish by far. It was the first episode where the writers thought "hey, this show could be something bigger". I appreciated the change, even though the funny parts were happening at the same time as the sad ones. I just didn't know if I should laugh or cry.

First Anthology of Interest was interesting and always will have a special place in my heart, but I wish they had put the other characters (Prof, Amy, Scruffy, Hermes, etc) to make questions in the next Anthology of Interest. The main characters are great, but it felt unjust to make them ask the questions again in Anthology of Interest 2.

Why can't I pick a favourite episode? In anything? I can be quite daft when it comes to a picking a favourite because I usually just blurt out what's top of the order. Although Luck of the Fryrish was one of my all time classics.

It's not one of my favourites but I agree that APTR is such an underrated episode. The funeral is quite possibly my favourite scene in the series.
