The song reminds of the musical numbers in old Disney movies.
I think there is one in "Aladdin" that sounds quite similar (I admit I am too lazy right now to search through my "Aladdin" DVD :D )

There is also a song in the cartoon "Asterix and Cleopatra" playing while a cake is poisoned that imhO bears some similarities with the "Robot Hell" song. This one is probably just a coincidence, as "Asterix" is not really well known in the USA.

I always thought of it as a version of the Texas Two Step.

The Robot Hell song features the Beastie Boys. Not that the song is all that typical of their music, but you might enjoy checking them out.

I believe they qualify as "Ill", at least from a technical standpoint.

I always considered the Robot Hell song to be somewhere in the midst of Big Band and Swing, particularly Jump Blues. There are some 90s Swing Revival bands you will probably enjoy.

You should check out:

I'm sure you can stream plenty of their music on YouTube and Grooveshark. :)

Yeah it's definitely big band. The Beastie Boys' part is the best though (RIP Adam/MCA).

Although he didn't do any voice work for the ep, he is still in it as a head in a jar and this ep ain't gonna seem quite the same now he's gone, kinda sad...
