Welcome to PEEL, Nemesis. Enjoy it here. Nice to see another Dane here.  :D

The song is called "Convoy" and is performed by C.W.McCall, a fictional character. The actual singing is done by the inventor of C.W.McCall; Bill Fries.

For other songs, check out this thread.

I think I first heard the Convoy song in a Simpsons episode when Homer gave Bart a radio with a microphone.

Later I saw a large part of the movie.  It was the one with the CB radios right?

Convoy. Directed by Sam Peckinpah, can you believe that? Not the only CB/trucker movie out there; Chuck Norris made Citizen's Band, and of course there's the Smokey and the Bandit series and its handful of knockoffs...

At Spencers, where i work we have a toy hampster that sings the convoy song! When i found it i was so delighted! Its a little blond colored hamster dressed in a truckers outfit with a little hat and he "dances" (more like sways) to the music. It's a riot!

Gah! I know I will get yelled at for this, but Nemesis, what does your "leet" say? I can only translate parts of it, and it's making me crazy for no good reason.

I don't know if it was the first time, but it was discussed in this thread.

Torquemada was right, though.  Either spelling is correct.

A quickpost...

My 1337 says the following :

|_ 3 3 7 |-| @ >< () |]\ 5 7 V_ |_ 3 : V_ 3 /-\ |)\ |-|

L E E T  H A X O R  S T Y L E : Y E A R H

Leet haxor style : Yearh

Elite hacker style : Yes

Actually my first real PHP script was a 1337 translator ! If I know only could understand the rest of the language, so I could write a whole page...

"Rødgrød med fløde..." <= Another danish joke. Muhahaa...

Hamster is the more common spelling but "hampster" is also an acceptable spelling according to Chambers Dictionary.
