Thought this maybe useful to someone...
The author of the Scott Pilgrim series (Bryan Lee O'Malley (@radiomaru)) has been tweeting a lot about the books being re-released in colour, after tweeting lots of info and links, he then put this:
30 people saying shut up and take my money? 13 jpgs of fry from futurama? yep. turns out i said a thing on twitter.

So I'm guessing The Butterjunk Effect may possibly be about time travel after all, since A Farwell to Arms has been confirmed as the 3012 doomsday thing...
That reminds me: For the writers not being too keen on time travel, some of the best episodes were based on that premise (RTEW, TLPJF, BBS as imhO the most consistent one of the movies) (Also, the "Wish Episode 200" was mentioned to be about Fry going to the 20th century and taking the rest with him)

I think I read it somewhere on Peel. I do not know if there is a specific plan: The writers just mentioned somewhere should that series survive until episode 200, that would be a considerable "anniversary plot".

... but on Comedy Central which means longer for it to reach Australia
It takes more than a year to reach the UK. Well, 6A did... Let's see if we get 6B a little earlier. * DannyJC13 doubts it...

Well..at least -should episode 200 REALLY feature that plot- it would be a believable "we always had that in mind" E.g. I never completely bought that they were 100% sure to reveal Leela's mutant heritage. This was surely one possibility, but some early episodes had imhO a certain vibe that they also wanted to keep the option of revealing her to be an alien.

I calculated (using the UK 6A airdate and DVD release compared against the 6B DVD release) that 6B should have started around now or within the next 2 weeks or so I think...

Because imdb is like Wikipedia, so everyone can edit its contents?

It is relevant to this, because it collaterals with the philosophy of imdb. But you'd think that once a 'release date' is set to anything, you can detect whether it has been released.
But that would require some sophisticated programming!

Yes. I LOVE the Brainspawn. They are the greetest.
I certainly would not mind seeing them as recurring villains, especially as Futurama has no regular "boss monster" like the big brain (Lrrr is imhO the closest to this trope, but he has grown more into a human bully).
