What is the big idea of this new article? I mean, in light of recent "Fry is/isn't gay" debates?

Quote from: The Infosphere
The relationship between Philip J. Fry and Bender Bending Rodríguez is a recurring theme on Futurama. They are often called best friends.
Are you sure :)? Anyway, "relationship" on that page is currently refers to the article about "shipping" :laff:.

"Relationship" doesn't necessarily have to mean romance, does it? Like "Oh how's the relationship between you and your brother?", you know.

I love Chief O Mannahan.  The fact she hasn't done anything since really busts my uterus.

As long as you do not insist you and O Mannahan are destined to be together, it should be fine... ;)

If they're going to address the minor error of Munda originally having human arms (which is now technically not an error, smart move Futurama)

I am curious just how they'll address this, though...after all, it can't be simply that mutants get more mutated over time, since we've seen the flashback of Munda after giving birth to Leela in "Leela's Homeworld" and the anniversary film shots of her university days in "Zapp Dingbat," and those both show her with tentacles despite chronologically being before her non-tentacled cameo in "I Second That Emotion."

Well...mutants did not get mutated over time so far, quite possible the exception from that rule will be shown in Leela and the Genestalk. In Leela's as well as in Mundas case.*

About the chronological order of appearances: It could theoretically still be possible Munda had human arms, changed to tentacles (during Leela's birth), changed to human arms again, changed to tentacles again.

Maybe Munda had to decide between getting rid of her tentacle mutation (perhaps some medication supposed to stop later mutations, that turned out to have side effects) , and being able to give birth to Leela.

Well...we'll see when the episode airs. Right now, my guess is it will be one of the more serious/sad episodes.

* Yet, the "least mutated mutant ever" getting random mutations was not such a popular theme. I assume the "least mutated mutant ever" mutation differently from other mutants might also not be a fan favorite.

That scene looked a bit as if her mutations were the first time revealed to others.
Maybe the last time she was seen, she just had tentacles for arms (on a Munda level), with Fry having said something like "We'll cope/get along with that".
And then, (after the mutations progessed, with the others unaware of that) , the sheet is withdrawn, revealing the grave state of the mutations progess, with her smile rather resembling a bitter "Oh yeah, you still think that we'll get along/it's not that grave?" look.

They probably hope that the "likes" will effect the ratings ;)

(Despite of considering season 7A a rather average one, I still think it deserved some higher ratings).

Analysing the 7B preview thingy:

  • In (what I assume is) 2-D Blacktop, when the Professor is getting ready to take off in the race, there is a sticky note on the ship controls that says "DIMENSIONAL DRIFT", maybe the 2-D part of the title is quite significant?
  • In the part were the Professor, Leela, Fry and Bender are running in the 2D universe (with the stilts/long-legs guy), instead of the usual compartment door, Bender has what looks like a Menorah on his torso, except it only has 4 branches.
  • When the gorilla talks about new office chairs and we can see the PE ship on the parking lot out the window, the space between each building is filled with like green/yellow/beige cloud, they must be super high up.
  • We know Murder on the Planet Express takes place on the PE ship (I think), seems they have an armory now in a long corridor?
  • Could be wrong, but when Dr. Banjo cries "Wild human! Wild human!", it looks like he's in the Chart Room from Viva Mars Vegas, which seems to have been overtaken by the monkeys/gorillas.

For my analysis on what the episodes will probably be about:

*In 2-D Blacktop, the crew's going to try to get into a 2-D dimension for some reason by either going at a very high speed in the ship race or winning something for beating the race. Once they get into the dimension, they try to steal that weird thing that Benders holding (a menorah?).
*Assuming the Seymore clip we saw wasn't just a flashback, Assie Come Home will be about Fry either wanting to go back or being sent back to his old time and we get another plot involving Seymore. For the ass part, maybe Bender loses his ass again?
*Calculon 2.0 will obviously involve Calculon coming back from the dead by the crew. My guess is there'll be a twist to it like the new Calculon being evil, or another robot being placed into his body instead (maybe Roberto comes back here), and then we'll get more Robot Devil stuff for Calculon to come back finally.
*Murder on the Planet Express seems to take place on the P.E. Ship and the lighthouse they crashed into in the trailer. Once there, I guess a monster will sneak aboard the ship that can shapeshift and then the rest of the stuff will happen.
*T.:The Terrestrial will likely be the episode with Fry somehow ending up on Omicron Persei 8 and eventually tries to help the now grown up Poppler leave the planet because he doesn't want to follow his father's footsteps or something like that.
*And since it doesn't seem to fit any other plot we know so far, I'm just going to guess that Game of Tones will be that Scruffy backstory plot that we know nothing about. Hopefully it doesn't completely ruin his character and allows us to still think of him as a mysterious janitor like before.

Dunno how you got the Seymour thing from that title, but the Bender part is pretty much right... The ep is about his ass having thoughts or something and running away.

Well Assie Come Home is an obvious parody of Lassie Come Home, so I thought they could use Seymour here. I didn't know about that Bender plot, but I guess that can be fun. I also just said Roberto for C2.0 because since Calculon's coming back, they could easily do some more stuff on robot afterlife and have him come back here as well. Plus, I can't really see that many other ways to bring him back that well without the writers just fucking it and having him come back to life in a 1 sentence explanation. It just doesn't seem that likely they'd kill him off forever when he's appeared in this many episodes and is loved by the writers this much.

Does anyone have any idea what  Forty Percent Leadbelly will be about, aside from the fact it is almost certainly a Bender-episode? Same for the Inhuman Torch, any theories about that one?

I'm guessing Fry and Leela's Big Fling will be a big milestone type episode, maybe the one where Fry proposes?

For Assie Come Home, isn't it pretty likely to be Bender-focused as opposed to Seymour-time travel-centered since Meanwhile will primarily about time travel? I think they would try to avoid over-using that device.

On a different note, any word about series renewal?

Time travel is like a huge theme in Futurama, we already know 7B's finale is about a button the Professor invents that can reverse time by 10 seconds. ;)

Well Assie Come Home is an obvious parody of Lassie Come Home, so I thought they could use Seymour here.

The Bender part is confirmed, but you could still be right. Assie = Seymour Asses? :o
